• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Anxiety attack - need advice

Is there no way you could drive for 10 or so miles before hitting the 5 lanes? Getting a feel for the steering was the only challenge for me. It steers a lot more like a 4 wheeler or snow mobile than a motorcycle. If possible, ride a few laps at the dealership parking lot. If no chance, and you...

    Winter riding Gear

My bad. While on vacation, you got a great deal on First Gear suit. I need one and missed out. I'll keep looking, but won't likely find anything under $100.00. Good for you, Deb. ---leo--- P.S. Gonna freeze here for first time this Fall tonight. It is already clear and 40 at 10PM. We have first...

The nose scoop is really low. We had to modify the ramp slightly to load safely. I'll show a picture when able. ---leo---

    my newest spYder accessory

to answer all-- This is a used unit I purchased from my spYder dealer. It is a 2007 manufacture and has no signs of water inside. The dealer used it and it was outside for last winter. It is a Triton TC-11. A new 2008 model costs just over $6000. It is all aluminum. Go here to read all about...

    High foot brake?

The position of the brake pedal was the only 1 major difficulty I expressed when first riding the spYder. Now, after 3 months of riding, it is still a complaint and no solution, to date. My dealer is working with me to find a solution. The spYder specialist at the dealership is suggesting a...

    Steering wobble

I get a "wobble" feel if I'm holding onto the grip bars too tightly. I relax my strangle hold and the wobble disappears. I had read about this on this forum from other members and it sure is true for me as well. I'm no tech person and cannot explain the dynamics, but when I relax all gets well...

that plastic ring on the bars

The screws RAM sent were the wrong size/pitch - had to buy larger ones at local hardware. The bin SAID SS. Hope so.:opps: ---leo---

that plastic ring on the bars

The bin said stainless steel, but they are black, so hopefully SS and anodized. Is that possible? ---leo---

that plastic ring on the bars

Parts arrived quickly - install went mostly OK. Screws from RAM were wrong thread pitch, quickly remedied with trek to hardware store. Here's what it looks like and works very well for me. Thanks again fellow spYder Riders. ---leo---

that plastic ring on the bars

Now, that seems like something I could do. I have the URL of RAM so am off to see about ordering. Thanks, Bruce. ---leo---

that plastic ring on the bars

Brian, I had read the thread of your install. You are much more clever that I am. Dremel work is beyond my abilities. Bruce, does that clutch res. cover replace the spYder cover or fit over it? Mounting on the left certainly has advantages. thanks, ---leo---

that plastic ring on the bars

Hello all, I am seldom a tinkerer and what seems simple to some usually means less than simple for me. I want to install a GPS mount in the location of the small ring on the right bar. I have read two ways to remove that ring. 1. cut it and remove it. (box cutter, etc.) 2. remove 2 screws...

Going from 2 wheels to 3

No doubt, the ride and control are different from a 2 wheeler. At first, a 2 wheel rider will feel "different" on the spYder. As you adjust to the handling characteristics of spYder, you learn to relax and really enjoy the benefits. I no longer miss the leaning, and have learned to trust the...

    Brake Squeal Interim Solution

When I took delivery of spYdie, the owner of the dealership introduced me to his service tech. The tech specifically mentioned parking brake issues and brake noise issues. He made recommendations for both. My wife and I each have BMW's. The brakes make noise, especially if they have been...
