• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Full Face Helmet friendly Water Bottle with "Straw"???

There is a real handy device called a Geiggerig which pressurizes the water bladder inside an air bladder. Kinda like a BP cuff around a water bag. This way you can spray your face or any wounds you may suffer on your ryde. But its not designed for the chest either...

Full Face Helmet friendly Water Bottle with "Straw"???

Camelbaks are not designed for the chest but I wish they were. You can have your passenger hook the straps behind you. The pockets on the bak are very handy for snacks, maps, and more. The glove box on the RT is ridiculous. Not even big enough for gloves. I keep thing about taking my CBak to a...

Spyders in the Redwoods raffle ??????

My only regret is I didn't win the Spyder for my wife, but then, she had twice as many tickets as I did so its twice as much her fault. ;)

    Lets talk about rider fatigue.

While traveling to and from SITR I was in so much pain in my seat, especially coming home. I have the AirHawk2 cushion which is highly recommended for ryding, but the problem was what was covering my butt. I forgot to bring my ryding underwear. It DOES make a difference. Do not wear cotton...

    Spyder Sightings

I forgot to mention I saw another Spyder at a gas station, I think it was a RS, while driving through Clear Lake while coming home from SITR Friday. Clear Lake is not on the main drag. It is a collection of resort communities off Hwy 20 between US 101 and 99. Clear Lake is the largest inland...

Good time at SITR, lots to see, new friends, great venue

When I looked at the map of attendees I was shocked to see how many were there from Sou Cal...less than a handful. And I don't know why. There are three SRA chapters located there. But that membership is only a handful compared to how many Spyder owners are out there. I think in the future the...

BRP a no show at SITR

As I understand it the west coast representative for BRP, I think her first name is Tamara, WAS supposed to attend, in fact, lead the run to the Shriners Tree onThursday. Unfortunately a family situation forced her to bow out. I took her place being the Road Captain to the tree. I am...

    Spyder Sightings

Came across a '14 Cognac RT traveling through Barstow on Main St from the Bay Area enroute to Sin City. I thought he was in trouble driving so slow and looking around. Turns out he was looking for a Motel 6 which he had reservations for. My first thought was who makes reservations for a Motel 6...

    Spyders In The Redwoods

All of our group rydes are off the 101 and I don't see any fires that close to the highway. New fires can start at anytime however. Most of the land near the 101 is cooler and moister than inland. Here is the latest CDF update: http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/incidents_current

    Trailer 622 tire preassure

Just had my bearings checked yesterday after close to 7000 mi. Mech says the grease was clean and the bearings looked brand new. Glad the topic of air came up.

    622 molding

I opened the lid to my 622 trailer today and noticed the rubber molding resembling a spaghetti noodle. Apparently BRP glued the rubber onto some sort of flange protection. It wasn't split rubber molding. I had some Gorilla glue to help hold it down till after SITR. Where I live at there isn't...
