• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Car tire air pressure?

Not a black and white subject I really do not know if there is a correct answer here. I really believe it might be more of a case by case basis with the vehicle weight and exact tire being larger considerations. There should be many previous threads to search that will indicate what others have...

Lucky Dog That is some of the most beautiful countryside there is, I am envious. I have been there many times in the summer and winter, but never on Spyder. Did you come down through West Yellowstone and Island Park? Over the Beartooth or down the Chief Joseph? You lucky dog!

It was a long cold winter up here. We were still riding snowmobiles as late as April 22nd, then went out for the first Spyder ride of the season three days later on April 25th. In fact, there is still ice floating on Lake Superior. This photo was taken last Thursday at Union Bay, north of...

    BAJA RON SWAY BAR WOW!!

The sway bar rocks When the ST series was introduced for 2013, it was positioned as the "sport touring" model in-between the "sport" RS models and the "touring" RT models. That said, the calibration of the ST (IMO) was biased far more towards the RT than it was the RS - it was set up more for...

    Tire size comparison

From an earlier post - still applicable - In the stock 225/50R15 rear tire size there are limited options, this is why many have tried other sizes to open up the options of what is available. As a side benefit, the speedo becomes more accurate. In regards to this, here are some of the...

    Car Tire verses Bike Tire

Bajaron gives good advice here. The Spyder rear tire is a light duty tire, 2-ply is like a 2-layer construction in simple terms. Most any other "car" tire we use is going to be a 4-ply. This does many things, including giving us a "stronger" tire that has a higher speed rating (safer at...

    Front end Wobble (again)

Suspect the tires Over the course of 70,000 miles, three spyders, five different sets of wheels and seven sets of tires, I have determined it is the cheap OEM tires more often than not. Back when I got my 2008s I had bought the six-spoke wheels for both of them. Before I put them on, one unit...

OEM Rear Tire SHOT at 2,500 miles

We received confirmation from BRP dealer support that the 2013 rear tire (#705 501 604) is a softer rubber compound. We told them about the unusually short life span we experienced, and they are aware of this “characteristic”. The 2013 tires have a rubber compound with more grip which...

2014 RT Front Tire Pressure Spec

For those of you getting a 2014 RT model, the specification for the front tire pressure has been changed to 20 psi +/- 2 psi. I noticed this in the 2014 RT Pre-delivery Instructions, and cross-checked it in the 2014 RT Owner’s Manual. With the heavier engine and heavier vehicle, this seems to...
