• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330cc 2015 RTL died on road - anyone else? Any fixes?

I would make sure it wasn't the battery itself first thing.

When is the best time to buy a new 2017 RT battery?

I have a friend with an RT and in the middle of a ride it started running badly then conked out. I used my jump pack and it started but wouldn't stay running. I went home, got my trailer and was able to get it running with the jump pack long enough to get it on the trailer. Another friend left...

When is the best time to buy a new 2017 RT battery?

You can get a "toaster type" load tester for $20 to $30.00 and test your battery yourself for peace of mind. You could carry a jump start battery pack in case of battery failure on the road, and you could buy a battery now that is dry and leave it on the shelf until you need it. As mentioned a...

Oh, the joys of air ride

3 inch fernco, no need for the clamp, and you will need a 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer bolt to make up for the thickness of the fernco.

Oh, the joys of air ride

If you still have it apart you might want to consider putting a fernco cap under the air bag before you install it. Also ditch the pushlok fittings and use DOT compression ftgs.

Yep, nowadays it doesn't hurt to have a couple items on hand that you know you're going to need.

    Yuasa battery out of stock

Here's one of the many reasons why I'm glad I hoarded a battery. I got it for almost 1/2 price what they cost now.

    Yuasa battery out of stock

I have a YTX24HL-BS sitting on a shelf that I've had for a couple years. When needed I will have to fill it, then seal it and charge it

I'll use my Ram mount as EZ pass holder - what do you use?

I went on my EZ Pass account to see about a decal and they don't offer that option in NY apparently.

I'll use my Ram mount as EZ pass holder - what do you use?

I couldn't get mine to read consistently in NY mounted under the frunk lid so I made a necklace out of it. Works every time.

How many 2014 - 2019 RT's are fitted with '13 Heat Scoops? Any benefits? Negatives?

They were put on my 2013 for the recall and they worked so well I put them on my 2015 right after I bought it. Biggest difference on the 2015 was the glove box went from hot to cold. It's pretty obvious that they keep everything under the tupperware much cooler.

Anyone put an F4 windshield on their RT?

I have the shorter, thicker F4 shield on mine. I bought it as a blem for a real good price. I've had it for 5 yrs and use dollar store glass cleaner and paper towels. It has no scratches and I haven't found the blem yet.

Front Sprocket Recall - Interim Repair Completed

Yes I do. I thought long and hard about whether to use moly or loctite and went with loctite. Many non-dealer Spyder shops have done this with great success. Hopefully I won't regret it.

Front Sprocket Recall - Interim Repair Completed

I took mine apart today. There was a small amount of dust on the inside of the pulley. The splines look fine and it's very snug on the shaft. I'm going to go the loctite 648 route when I reassemble. I think I caught it early enough.
