• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2009 RS exhaust and efi controller

What's the latest? Was curious as to how things are going with your setup. Have you made any adjustments to the optimizer? It seems that my spyder has a bit of a delay when you twist the throttle open. Do you think my optimizer needs to be adjusted from the stock program?

2009 RS exhaust and efi controller

setup I've got a K&N filter sitting inside the stock airbox with an HMF Optimizer and slip-on exhaust installed. Normally, I ride October thru April and have not had any issues at all. But, just a few days ago, I wanted to take the bike out for a run around town. Temperature that day was 92 I...

2009 RS exhaust and efi controller

Glad you are enjoying your new setup. I have a similar setup and would like to know if you have any stalling when riding out in the heat of the day. Also, have you selected another map on the EFI controller or are you running the default settings?

Another tire thread!!! For RS not RT

Tire size Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the VSS, TCS, and brakes were designed for a 225mm wide tire. I wanted to stay as close to that size as possible for handling/safety reasons and the widest Advantage T/A that was offered for a 15-inch rim was 215mm with a 60mm profile...

Another tire thread!!! For RS not RT

BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Hi, I can certainly sympathize with you. I spent months trying to learn as much as I could about rear tire choices from this site. I did learn that the Michelin Hydroedge was the tire to get, however, that model has been discontinued. So, I was back to square one. I...

Definitely worth it. I have the missing air dam and the air management system on my RS. Yes, both the air dam and air mgmt system are very much worth adding.

F3 Demo Ride at Lone Star Rally 2014

I should've kept going!!! As much as I was tempted to drive off with it and the F3, no, I reluctantly returned the F3 and gave Lamont his jacket back. I was, however, honored to wear his jacket with his logo on the back! I felt like an ambassador pro tempore.

F3 Demo Ride at Lone Star Rally 2014

I signed up for an F3 demo ride at the rally and was completely amazed by the amount of power the 1330 puts out. Acceleration was just incredible throughout all the gears I tried, 1st thru 5th. That engine has tremendous torque. During the ride and while in 5th gear, I fell back so I could twist...

    Kids Spyder?

Farkles Ok! How quick do you think Baja Ron will get a sway bar, links, plugs and wires, Spyderpops will get all the "Missing" items plus start doing alignments, Smoothspyder's tensioner and backrest, Lamont's NBV footrests, and Pitbull's shock relocators? Oh, and let's not forget about adding...

Anyone taken the Turquoise Trail in New Mexico?

Easy! Yup, it was an easy ride. Really nice scenery. Stopped in Madrid for lunch and checked out the town for a bit. Saw a blue RT parked there too, but did not see its owner. The only problem with the Turquoise Trail is that it is too short of a ride!

    Seeking advice

Hmmmm Sounds like you have your bases covered. I would suggest checking the A-arm bushings, both upper and lower. If they are worn, it could be a contributing factor to your uneasiness. Grab each of the A-arms and try pulling to the front and pushing to the back of the bike. If it moves or...

Just to follow-up on the QRM on 20 meters - the cause was an arcing power transformer on a telephone pole behind my house. It finally blew out with a big pop and a bright flash of light. Now, all is quiet on 20 meters.

Anyone taken the Turquoise Trail in New Mexico?

Thinking about taking the Turquoise Trail from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. Has anyone ridden it and if my Spyder broke down, how difficult would it be to get help? Is there cell phone coverage in that part of NM?
