• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Real life gas mileage in Colorado?

Too many variables, riding style, load, etc. Fill your machine, set trip odometer to 0, ride till low fuel lite comes on. Check trip odometer, deduct ~10% as a ‘fudge factor’. That’ll be a reasonable expected distance between fuel stops. Edited for spelling.

    New Reverse Shifter mod....

I’ve pre-ordered. My wife is 5’0”, and finds the stock lever too awkward. It’s worth the 180 to let her relax about reversing.

    What's Wrong with the Ryker?

Very much agreed. My wife’s 900 has GREATLY improved her enjoyment of riding. Her previous machine, VStar 650, caused her some anxiety in slow speed manoeuvre, starting and stopping. After her 650 took a few unintentional naps she almost stopped riding at all. I bought a 20 RTL bc my knees...

For those who have only owned the 1330 ...

My 1330 has no difficulty reaching and sustaining the posted speed limits. Each of us has our own purpose and needs from our machine. Relaxed, and relaxing, riding through open countryside, some twisties from time to time. I don’t need an adrenaline rush. To each his, her, their, it’s own...

    What Flat Tire Prevention Product??

Plug kit and CAA member. (like AAA) I’ll try a plug if it’s a hole in the tread area. If that won’t do it I’ll call for recovery.

Have you noticed TP is disappearing again?

That’s because stores are carrying massive extra stocks. Hoarding is good for short-term profits!

Shout out! - to Harvey & SpyderPops!

Similar story. I had a shipping issue, not Spyderpops fault. When the package was returned to them they re-shipped to me at their cost. Classy operation.

Spyder RT: 2021 differences from 2020

Got mine, with wiring harness from Canamspyderaccessories. Strong, stable, easy to fit. When I had the ‘20 RTL in for first service dealer needed to remove and replace the hitch to adjust belt tension. Not a big deal, but I was told this might not have been necessary with a genuine BRP hitch.

Since it's been almost 50 years since I last had a Ford,

You’d have to buy the badges as add-ons from the HD dealer parts department. That’ll run it up to 40k.

What would you choose? Spyder vs Ryker

Which would I choose? Yes! My old knees didn’t want to hold up the 850# 2 wheeler any more, so I went 3 wheeler. My RTL for comfort on a long run, cargo capacity, trailering. My wife liked the stability, so she has a Ryker Because she wants the twist-and-go CVT. Either is a great choice. What...

Agreed. I’ve done a couple 6hr+ saddle days and the stock seat was fine. Ride it for a while before you add $ you might not need.
