• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    online parts source

For a $7 part, I am not going to be able to take off work for half a day to ride over to the dealer and order. For something substantial, I would prefer to deal with my dealer. I shouldn't have to explain why buying a bushing should cause time off from my business. I am spread kind of thin...

Pitbull Powersports, a site sponsor wants $6.99 to ship and your place wants $13.15. Cost of bushing is the same.

Checked a couple of online parts sellers and both had ridiculous shipping charges. I want to buy a bushing for my frunk where it latches at the top. I imagine this bit weighs 3 oz and one place (powersportswarehouse.com) wanted $21.46 for shipping and the other $13. Any places where I can buy...

    Riding in rain

I drove my Spyder RT home from the dealer I bought from about 250 miles through a torrential downpour about half the way. Rain suit? We had been in an enduring drought for several years and I found my rain pants no longer worked hehe Wore the jacket and honestly, only my tennis shoes and top...

    Towing a 2014 RT

U-Haul is pretty fussy about renting trailers to folks who don't have a hitch rated for a certain towing weight. I tried to rent the 6x12 and they wouldn't rent to me as I have a ball on the bumper of my F150.

    Wisdom if the List, Please

I bought an off-brand battery inadvertently for my 2010 Spyder RT and it died in about 3 months. I didn't leave anything on. Drove to a store. Parked and when I came out... NADA... well one click and then blackness. Tried to jump but it wouldn't start. Battery was toast.

    frunk weather stripping?

Went to the Spyderpops site and ordered a new seal. This is the condition of old seal. Yeah, could have tried gluing again but I did it once a thousand miles previously and it lost its hold. This is the Spyderpops seal. Took about 5 minutes to pull off old seal and install new one. Hope...

    Frunk seal

The seal on my 2010 RT is similar to yours except the part that didn't stick is smaller and a round cross-section. I ordered another from spyderpops and it has a V section to slide over the rim and a circular piece of trim attached to the V part. It is all one piece; not glued and the V...

I don't have the means to do Photoshop. I am just going to to frunk and trunk and not fenders or bags. I think this is too much for my taste.

I am fond of green. I sent in a contact form yesterday to those folks but haven't heard back yet. This is my Triumph America I traded away for a FLHTCUI that I sold to buy a 2013 CB1100A which is my current 2 wheel daily rider. I loved the British Racing green which contrasted nicely with...

    Crazy pricing!

In Texas and most places I know of, there is a vehicle inventory tax... like part of one percent of the value of the vehicle each month. Can add up for a dealer so they are usually ready to move older stuff that has been taking up space in their show rooms. An unscrupulous dealer will also try...

    SpyderQuest and Spectrol

The Can-Am Spyder 2010-2011 Service Manual calls for XPS Synthetic Blend summer weight oil P/N 293 9600 121 but if you can't find this stuff use 5W40 semi or full synthetic API service SL, SJ, SH, SG.

    Crazy pricing!

There is a yellow 2013 RT-S on the dealers front page for about $28K. I thought the OP was smoking some funny stuff as this dealer bills himself as the #1 powersports dealer in Okie. By #1, he must mean prices.

I have an all silver 2010 Spyder RT. I don't like designs, tribal or gothic but want to add some contrasting color and was thinking about this design in metallic green. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/album.php?albumid=2828&attachmentid=68571. Just the frunk and trunk. Anyone have this...

    Smell after riding

When it cools off some, will start touring again. I am also pretty busy with my business this time of the year; catching uip from spring rush so to speak. I rebuild / sell vintage motorcycle carburetors. We live near Medina Lake. If you get down to San Antonio, give me a shout and I can show...

    rear trunk latch adjustment

As far as the rear trunk latch mechanism, I loosened the two screws that mount the receiver mechanisms and moved them slightly and checked function and after about a half hour gave up with no real improvement.

    2014 RT

I took a test ride on a 2012 RT-S with the Corbin seat, driver backrest, passenger backrest with integrated armrests & cupholder. Looks VERY nice (I wasn't fond of the spider web stitching nor the slipperiness of the seat). The Corbin armrests are much better looking than the Diamond-R but the...
