• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Problem after changing rear tire

When you reassembled you have to make sure to push forward on the wheel so the adjusters are tight while you tighten the axle bolt. Otherwise, the belt adjustment will be off.

    water wetter really works!!

I was thinking of putting engine ice in my ATV until others discovered it was corroding the water impellers. Many had issues.... I think I remember you were supposed to drain the coolant to make sure you did not mix but it has been awhile... So, make sure you do some research before using.

Best PSI for Rear Tire (Spyder RS) - Longevity

I should also point out that the Toyo has a much smoother ride than the stock rear and is lighter with a stiffer sidewall. For some reason the Toyo handles better (Less wandering) with more air, currently running 35Lbs.

Best PSI for Rear Tire (Spyder RS) - Longevity

18F/36R with a Toyo rear. I found the wear in the center of the rear is NOT due to inflation. The tire balloons at speed and wears in the middle. Some that do not ride a higher speeds or faster acceleration may not experience this phenomenon. The Toyo does not wear as much in the center as...

    Warranty question #2

I'm struggling with the same thing. I never buy extended warranties but this time may be different. I just had my engine rebuilt and the bill was over $4K. Luckily my warranty does not expire until next month and BRP covered everything except new rings ($150). While the chances of this...

If your Spyder is currently in the shop for more than 2 weeks post here

6 weeks for me. Excess belt tension caused bearings to fail and heat eventually caused oil pump to explode.... Need new case, and many new internals. "CHANGE YOUR BELT TENSION TO THE NEW SPEC" Took 1 week before dealership could look at it. Took 2 weeks to get parts in. Only person in...

BRP Front End Recommendation (@ 4mm thread depth on front tires)

Here is a good post on setting Toe. If they are not wearing uneven then I would not touch a thing. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20130&highlight=tire+wear

BRP Front End Recommendation (@ 4mm thread depth on front tires)

There are a ton of threads on this. The Toe is not set properly if they are wearing uneven. Swapping them is just putting a bandaide on the situation. Once the Toe is set properly (0 to slight toe-in) it turns and handles a ton better.

    Front Tire PSI

The wear issues on any of your tires are most likely not due to the PSI.. Check your alignment for the fronts. The rear will wear in the middle regardless of PSI.

So who wants to take a guess for 2011?

Here is my want list for the RS 1. Better seating, footpeg, and handlebar position 2. Somewhere around 175 RWHP 3. Adjustable length swingarm 4. Different tire options. The fronts roll too quickly and rear is rough ride and balloons/wears in the middle.

Juice Box Setting with O2 Mod

.5 3 3 3 3.5 .5 with O2 modifier. 5 and 6 seem to work best when at least 3 apart. The farther apart they are the less often you will get issues at WOT or after WOT.

Strong Gas Smeel From My :Left Side???

Many have had the clamps on the fuel filter come loose. I replaced mine with worm gear clamps and no more smell. I also did the canisterectimy which eliminates the canister as the culprit.

    Juice box settings??

Many of us have had the same issue as firefly. So, I don't think he has a faulty box. I found the farther you have 5 and 6 apart the better the problem is. Currently, mine are at 3.5 and .5 and it only misses once in awhile when I letoff from WOT but much less noticeable than before. If...

    Belt Tension & Blown Seals

For those that have not changed your belt tension to the new recommended setting I would highly recommend it. I heard about the new recommended tension and asked my dealer and was told it was only for new Spyders as part of the pre-delivery setup. A few weeks later I started hearing a...
