• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rear Tire Wear

Loved the Toyo Tire. Better ride and much lighter tire too. Not sure if you can still get them though

    Brake Squeak

I recall someone put a small spring on the rear caliper causing them to open up and eliminating the squeek.

    CHECK YOUR AIR FILTER!!!!!!!!!!

Aftermarket Foam filters that are oiled work the best. Otherwise K&N with outerwears...

    Rear Tire

I also recommend the Toyo. Best smooth-riding tire I found

    Poll about tires

I found the Toyo was the lightest and smoothest riding tire for the rear. Traction was similar to stock as well.

    Wild Speculation

Really? You sound like one of the bikers bashing the Spyder. "Why don't you just get a car"

    Wild Speculation

We really need a 4th wheel and the laws changed to allow them in all states.

    Bad Gasoline smell

Ony my RS I just ran the vent down the right side and then crossed over on the swingarm so the end of the hose stuck out just behind the parking brake. This may work on the RT as well but not sure.

Who has the best price for spyder insurance?

Progressive - Looked around each year for a better deal but nobody would touch the price

    Rear tire??

This has been discussed many times but thought I would mention again. "The wearing in the middle of the tires is NOT due to air pressure" It is due to the ballooning of the tires at speed. If you drive higher speeds it will wear in the middle. If you do not then it most likely won't.

    Question for NY spyder owners

Mine went on the lower black plastic piece below the oil reservoir.

RS High Windshield Thoughts and Poll

Wind noise and buffeting were too much to handle at higher speeds. The F1 slider is the best looking tall windshield IMHO.

use of automoble tires on RT

The Toyo has the smoothest ride of all the tires I have tried to date. Much better than stock.

    Be Careful Out There

I think you just proved my point. The cager did not see the rider but had they been able to hear them then they would have known they were there. You simply can't argue this fact, regardless if you like loud pipes or not. I don't like loud pipes but since getting the Spyder I noticed...

    Turning VSS off

Simply remove the rear wheel sensors and tape them to the frame. No more nanny! You will also want to pull the power steering fuse or you will get assist at higher speeds which is not a good idea.

    Be Careful Out There

Many do not want to hear this but a loud pipe lets the cagers know you are there when not looking! Especially today with all the cell phones and texters.

    Can Am Leaning Trike Patent

I'm guessing it will lean as you turn the bars and not as the rider leans. This will eliminate the need for any lock.

    Belt Adjustment Problem

I adjusted my belt tonight to be in spec as it was running towards the outside of the rear sprocket. After doing so the rear brake now squeaks very loud in reverse and squeaks a bit when going forward when I press the pedal. I can adjust it towards the middle of the sprocket and the squeal...

Cost to Replace Bearings in Rear Wheel

I removed my rear wheel and replaced the tire and decided to try and replace the bearings in the rear wheel. Half way through I decided it would be best to have my dealer do the bearings. The dealer just called and said it's all done and the bill is $130. Keep in mind I took them the wheel...
