• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Nitrogen in Spyder Tires?

Despite the naysayers that want to criticize every new, different, or unique idea that they don't agree with, it's just like any other farkle on a Spyder; if you like it and want it, then it's worth the cost. I know my local Tire Barn will fill my tires with nitrogen for minimal cost, and...

    ADDING A VENT TO WINDSHIELD

Just drilling holes, besides the obvious tendencies to crack and propagate unless any rough edges are smoothed out, could lead to whistling or other unfavorable noise. Don't really know, just guessing. Vents are designed to regulate the air flow through the vent and direct it to where you want...

    Priced Out...

Living in the midwest always sounds better when comparing to the west coast, weather notwithstanding! I like my freedom!

    Priced Out...

:agree: Also, try Imotorsports. They will ship to your door. They may even give you a 15% discount on accessories. When I purchased my 2015 RTS, that is what they did for me.

    Saddle Bag/Trunk Question

I have the Hopnel nets. Very good basic option to retain things like covers, rain suits, helmet bags, gloves, etc. Uses existing hardware and easy to install. I cannot justify anything more for my type of riding. I would buy them again.

    Throttle adjust

At my first service on my 2015 RTS, I asked the dealer to check the throttle because it was touchy and would not return firmly when decelerating. The dealer found that my throttle spring was installed backwards from the factory. Probably not your issue, but just something to keep in mind.

    Vibration in handles

Doc's is better for less money. I would go for it if the vibration is bothersome.:2thumbs:

Luggage racks for top of saddlebags?

I think this is potentially a great idea! You could get the structural integrity of the grab handle mounts and extend them over the saddle bags without actually depending on the saddle bags to support the weight. This could eliminate the need to use the passenger seat for storage when riding...

The smokes new vlog video on the Ryker 600

Just a suggestion that it's probably not necessary to repost every Smoak vlog post here (he posts almost every day). If someone wants to keep up with him, they should just subscribe on Youtube. You are obviously a big fan, but me, not so much. This one had very little useful information on...

    Trailer for my RT

I have the Aluma UT-10 trailer. It is almost identical to yours, but mine also has an integral tool box in the front of the vee which is great for carrying all the necessary accessories. Mine has four anchor points on the corners and one swivel anchor point in the front center. Same ramp as...

    Recommended cleaner for wheels

I've used the Merlin's Blood on my 2018 10th Anniversary RT. It works ok, but the paint seems to have a surface finish that is not completely smooth. As a result, it got the worst brake dust and dirt off, but not completely. I was not able to hook up a pressure washer, so I just hit it with...

    OH OH

Not sure about the 13's, but if you can pull the speaker grill (just held in with plastic tabs) on the side you were feeding it through, you may be able to see what is going on. When I fed my wire down, that is how I accessed the wire to feed it on down.

    REAR TRUNK BAGS

Have them all and use them all. Just remember, they are soft bags, so if you overstuff them, they will not fit properly into the compartment. But because they are soft, they take up less space then the hard bags and are adjustable as long as the contents are "adjustable" too.

    How Is Lamont Feeling?

As someone who has had a fair share of serious health issues throughout my adult life, I encourage you to be extra sensitive in respecting his privacy. Although most inquiries are sincere and heart-felt, I am sure that he would rather keep things close to the vest and disclose information as he...

New Opportunities Await! I have had similar experience(s) in my career and took a leap of faith last time. I decided that my next job would be something that I really wanted to try, but never would due to being afraid to make a major change in my life. I went from a long career in...

    Time for tires and alignment

Sorry about that; just trying to help. Cannot testify to the accuracy of the information on the ROLO website and have never tried using it since I know of a relatively local dealer in central Indiana that does it for $120. I hope you are able to find someone halfway close to you. Otherwise...
