• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RTL MPG Question

Sounds like mine before updating the software (firmware or whatever the correct term is). I would be that you don't have the latest version. There are other threads talking about this, but the latest is 20.8, i think? I am sure someone will chime in if I am incorrect.

    RTL MPG Question

Theoretically, it should help overall gas mileage because you shift at lower RPMs, but once you are running down the road in a given gear, everything else is the same. Most don't use it because they shift by RPM or sound and the shift points in ECO mode are at relatively low RPMs. I don't...

    RTL MPG Question

For those of you who run an RT 1330 for long distances on interstates, what is your normal range between fill-ups? Does pulling a cargo trailer make much difference?

    RTL MPG Question

Glad to see mine is not out of the norm, but it seems that when I have done longer road trips in the past, I can get around 180 miles before the fuel light comes on and 200+ before I need to fill up. If I am only getting 25 mpg, I would have thought that I would be in trouble at 150 miles...

    RTL MPG Question

I have a 2018 RTL (10th Anniversary edition). Went out for a 50 mile jaunt yesterday through countryside and on highway. Clicked over to mpg screen to see how it was doing. Through the countryside I was getting around 36 mpg, which I expected. But, when I went out on the interstate running...

    Stability at Freeway Speed?

Very stable. I never have seen the need for laser alignment for both of mine, but the sway bar does help with buffeting and changing road conditions at higher speeds. But just like a car there can be unexpected events occur (deer, chuckholes, and crazy drivers come to mind). Just remember you...

    Got my extended B.E.S.T. warranty

This is what I paid after shopping around at Dreyer in Indianapolis on my last RTS. If you do better than this, let us know.

    Camera Install

I'm confused. If you have a USB already on the dash, why not use it? Why would you run it to the back? Did I miss something? :dontknow: Nevermind. I see you are trying to connect that back camera! Sorry!

    What makes modular helmets preferrable

Usually a little heavier than full-face, all other things being equal, but easy to put on like a 3/4. I can even put it on while still wearing my glasses. I like that I can flip it up at stoplights to get a drink of water or just get some extra air.

Northern Tool tag along trailer now on sale $399.99

Under the Q&A it says the speed rating is only 45 mph. I assume that just based on tires and if you put better tires on, you can pull up to 70 mph? Or is it based on bearing ratings?

    Harbor Freight Lift

Great lift. Works great right out of the box. Fits under Spyder without a problem. Wait for coupon to get it under $70. I would never crawl under the Spyder without jack stands securely in place.

    Seat and Frunk secondary releases

Good idea to do this as there are several who have had a problem with the releases. Many have done this with wire. You could search for other threads. I would be afraid the bungee would dry rot or break after being in the weather too long, but you do what works for you. Just make sure to...

    Aluma TK1

I currently have a UT-10. Don't have the exact specs and my trailer and Spyder are stored elsewhere, but there is plenty of clearance on both sides between the fenders (more than 6". I am not sure if the TK1 is the same width. Too lazy to look it all up on Aluma's website. :read:

    Ryker Rust

What a weld looks like and how well it is bonded may not go hand-in-hand. I have seen beautiful welds with no penetration fall apart with a smack of a hammer. I have seen ugly welds that you tear metal before you break the weld, which is what should always happen. If that was on my Spyder in...
