• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recommendation: Tried a new spray wax

TW ceramic is all I use on my vehicles and toys. It lasts all winter on my cages and they get hammered by salt and car washes all winter since I'm a snowmobiler also. And the price is right along with spray on convenience and no worries on over spray on textured plastics. Zero residue.

What Brand Engine oil do you use

2x on WM ST full synth. oils. Multiple vehicles taken over 200k miles on it. I used Valvoline MC 10-40w Jaso rated oil in my F3S on its storage oil change. I do not use overpriced BRP oil in my 1200cc 3 cyl. Rotax dry sump motor BRP sleds, I use the filters but not the oil. 10k miles on my '09...

Anyone used thebikebarn Trike Shelter for their Spyder? What else?

Shelter Logic makes some good stuff. I've used them for snowmobile storage in the past. Heavy weight frames and fabric.

Break in mode?? My First Spyder

Ace motors in snowmobiles, 600 and 900's seem to have a 500-mile break in. Then again, those motors have a normal operating range of 4500 to 8000 rpm. Spyders are not wound up that tight all the time so I can see it having a longer break in time. Main thing is fully warmed up before you send it.

Heated OEM grips on F3 LTD do just barely - anyone replaced with A/mkt?

My F3 grips are a joke compared to my BRP snowmobiles. If handlebar size is the same as anyone put the RT heaters on a F3? RT must use a higher output grip heater than the F3. Maybe they have a bigger element in them. And even with just wired to just the high side it would be better than the...

    BRP should demand an apology.

2x I'm not a biker, I'm a motorcycle enthusiast. That's the lifestyle difference I like to point out.

2020 RTL brake issue - it's eating rotors! HELP?

Left caliper could be sticking causing pad drag and warping rotor. I'd suspect a bad caliper first over ABS unit. Caliper issues are more common. Brake hoses are known to collapse internally also holding fluid pressure on release causing pad drag. These brakes are no different than a car with...

looking for shop manuals, 2014 to present

I just did the canammanuals.com and D/L my manual. Did the same for my sleds. Laptop makes it portable and I also print out the pages I need if not doing anything too intensive. Not worth $200 IMO and besides I can't help not getting my paper books greasy.

Still Riding? I think I am now done for the season...

Once they salt the roads I'm done. Learned my lesson pitting my back rim on my HD and don't want the hassle of giving the bikes a bath after a late season joy ride. Cycles don't have the corrosion protection of cages.

Are F3 fog light bulbs H7's?

Ok I broke out the tools and pulled out a fog light assembly. Inside it was etched into the housing H3 at the bulb opening so question is answered. H1 and H3 bulbs are similar except for the inside length of the bulb mounting / holder to the base ring. Just passing along what I found on my new...

Are F3 fog light bulbs H7's?

Got it used and all 4 bulbs are the old fan cooled LED's which aren't the greatest. Poor beam pattern and the H4 headlights have a lousy high beam. I want to upgrade to better non fan LED's, ones like I have in my BRP snowmobiles, they have a way better high beam vs what I have now. Fog lights...

Has anyone used Hippo Hands on their Spyder?

Ski Doo has handle bar muffs for sleds that have windows in them so you can see the controls. I have them on my sleds, with heated grips I only use light gloves without any defectors. Sleds are not home with the Spyder so I can't verify if they work on them but they look like they would work on...

I'd put a little blue Loctite on the threads so they don't loosen up from vibration.

Tying Spyder onto a trailer without damage??

Wood screws for a bicycle not a spyder. E tracks in my enclosed have been holding my HD for years, no issues. Lots of 1/4 bolts with larger fender washers on the bottom side holding the E tracks down on the wood floor. Pain to install but it's a once and done. Looking to get a landscape trailer...

Your thoughts on shifting and front pulley longevity wanted

How has the updated white pulley been holding up ? As chief wrench in the household and that I'm just learning Spyder's so I'm curious on how the ''new and improved'' one is holding up. Wife's new to her '15 F3 pulley failed on her 2nd ride, dealer covered it BTW, and it was a bear pushing it...

    Over Heating

Overheating when stopped sounds like the fans are not coming on when your stopped. Moving forward push's air through the radiators, fans are needed when stopped. Check the fan for something in it first and that it's turning freely.
