• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any time your thinking about making a large purchase, the big stack of Benjamins you have to give up is a major consideration, as it was with me. As a new owner I can tell you this: I am extremely happy that I didn't punk out and walk away!

Picked it up today and I am impressed. This is a nice machine. My wife and I will have a lot of fun on this ride. I want to thank everyone on this forum that offered opinions and information to help me make my decision.

Here we go!!!! Well, I'm picking up my new 16 RT Saturday. I've read the entire Do's and Don't thread several times, and while it is very informative and extremely helpful, it has only increased my level of anxiety. Any comments or encouragement will be welcomed and greatly appreciated. I have...

I will do a laser alignment. If anyone knows a reputable place on Long Island to get it done, please share. LED's are in my future as well.

Thanks oldrider60. I purchased a leftover 16 RT SE6. I'm looking forward to picking it up next week. I did consider some used machines I found but all were eliminated from consideration for one reason or another. I'm still looking for a recommendation for a place to have a laser alignment done...

Now I'm thinking about mods. First thing I will probably do is the sway bar. Next is a laser alignment. Can anyone recommend a place on LI to get the alignment done?

Thanks for your input. Most of the time I purchase new vehicles but I have purchased pre owned when I have found an exceptional deal. Yesterday I found a new RT SE6 locally for 20,300. Most used Limited RTs with low mileage I have found are at that price point or higher. Also, many have upgrades...

Thanks Mike, looks like I'll be spending the day on the telephone!! We have 4 dealers here on LI and I would much rather ride it home than have it shipped. IMotorsports has it for 21,000 with free shipping. Lou's in Greenville Tx has it for 19,500 but I have to pay to ship.

Thanks Mike, I kinda thought this was high. I got this dealer down to 21,000 for this machine. I can get one from Lou's in Greenville, Texas for 19,500 but I have to get it shipped. I'm going to offer this guy 20,500. What do you guys think?

Really great info here!! We decided we are going to get one! Still working out the numbers with the dealer, though. He suggested a warranty, 5 years for $1500. I guess it really is 3 years on top of the 2 you get with a new machine. What do you guys think about that?

Looks like my local dealer will match a price I found on the internet on a RT, plus what it would cost me to ship. Fingers crossed!!

I have 2 bikes and 2 quads on the policy. I'll probably take one of the quads off.

Judging from all the comments it looks like we will go for it. We have been talking ourselves into it already anyway. Now I have to decide which bike or quad to take off the insurance policy because only 4 are allowed.

Ha! I've been looking at upgrades already and I don't even own it yet!! I also like the look of the fog lights so I might get them.
