• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 acceleration (0-60)

I feel the same way, with the exception that I am attempting to add an F3 along with my GS (and my gal's ST-L). This will cost me the new car I wanted to buy this year...but my '02 SUV is still running well, so a new car is not a necessity. I probably "shouldn't" buy an F3 so close to having...

My Spyder Threw a sprocket last Saturday...

Hi Dave...I did not mean to imply that the total cost was $300...that was just for the belt. $149 for the sprocket, then labor. I'm still a few hundred under a Grand when it's all said & done, so I actually count myself lucky...it could've been so much more expensive. A fellow ryder has a bent...

My Spyder Threw a sprocket last Saturday...

Thanks for the well wishes all! Another concern of mine was that the sprocket would've sheared of and possibly hit one of the other Spyder Ryders. I would've hated for that to have happened.:yikes:

My Spyder Threw a sprocket last Saturday...

I was coming home from a group ryde and was maybe 40 miles from home on a back road when I completely lost forward motion (other than coasting). The engine was still running, but no acceleration when I gave it gas. Coasted to the side of the road and immediately saw that the drive belt was...

New SpyderLover sponsor- Lynn Lees Embroidery

Lynn made my Spyder Tony patch. She even customized the color of the GS/RS and added my name at the bottom. Currently, she is working on a custom patch for my 8 year old to wear on his vest when he rides with me (which is frequent). I am more than satisfied with her work and will use her again...

Interesting concept...but just not right for me.

    F3 Swaybar

I'm thinking the F3 has to hit the streets before aftermarket manufacturers can get their hands on one and fabricate aftermarket parts for it. I don't believe it can be done by the specs list alone. Then again, this is just conjecture on my part, as I have never fabricated an aftermarket part...

    Spyder F3 burnout

Sweet action, Lamont...that 1330 must really perform in the F3. I'm happy that you (along with many other great folks) got the shot to test ryde this beast...but I gotta admit that i'm hating you just a little, deep down inside. That's the way the 'ol Green Eyed Monster works...lol. You, my...

Scheduled for my F3 Test Ryde

My dealership (Elk Grove PowerSports has announced that on Black Friday weekend, the Spyder demo tour truck will there to do demo rides on the F3. I got my name at the top of the list  I know the F3 is not for everyone, but I for one, am super excited to test ryde one. Still trying to find...

CALL FROM DISCOUNT TIRE... Ref KUMHO ECSTA AST

That is a crock. Liability ends after the sale. I could be buying a tire as a swing in my front yard...now they won't sell it because I might put it on a Spyder??? Next time...don't mention that you're putting it on a Spyder . That's a sure-fire way to be sent packing. If asked, you are mounting...

    F3 contest

I'm not what is considered a "Lucky Person", but entered nonetheless. Should I be lucky enough to win an F3, I will take my GS out for a long evening ryde and break it to her slowly...

    exhaust options

Leo Vince After running a Two Bros for quite some time, I switched to the Leo Vince (Baffle removed) and am much happier with it. I had the Two Bros re-riveted a couple of times and even with loctite the last time, they eventually vibrated out. The Leo Vince is definitely pricier, but gave me...

    KUMHO

I also got mine at Discount Tire but what they had to do was ship one from another state...took a few days & I had my tire. Quantities are limited, but the discontinuance is fairly recent (recent, being a relative term) so production stock is still fairly available, but dwindling. The tire...

    Ram Mount Customer Service

Often times we tend to post our negative experiences with a company and/or its product(s). Well, I have the distinct pleasure of reporting excellent customer service when inquiring with Ram Mount about replacing the rubber piece at the end of my X-Grip mount. After Calling Ram customer service...

My next mod for EVIL heat challenge

I removed the 2 rear pieces of the 4 piece plate on the bottom of my '08 GS and it did a WORLD of good. I chose to leave the front 2 panels in place though, because they appeared to be covering critical components. I no longer have the heat being trapped inside my tupperware, and run overall...

    Looking for help

I'm with Chupaca on this one. When I initially bought our '13 ST-L, the exact same thing would happen. The BRP term is "Heat Soak". Once you hit the road, the circulating air lowers the engine temp and no code is thrown. My dealer told me there is a "High Temp Warning" before the overheating...
