• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How Much Oil Have You Had To Add Prior To 6,000 Miles?

If you're sure it was at full when new, that sounds like too high an oil consumption to me. At that rate, if it's being burned rather than leaking, I'd expect to see a haze of blue exhaust smoke.

    BUDS2 Requirements

Just a little info that might save you a bit...for my cars I have a Bosch diagnostic system and it also has expensive annual licences, I've got around this. I purchased a Dell 12" Laptop for general use but specifically for the Bosch software. The way the licence update is timed is by using the...

    175-55-15 vrs 165-55-15

I don't think he is... Mike, the problem with your guesstimate is that it's based on nothing. Your assertion that the tyre is only 10mm wider so it's not possible to feel a difference is silly - the next step is a 185, can you then tell the difference from a 175?, then it's a 195, can you then...

    2015 RS-S - handlebar bolts

They are metric M10 cap screws but the length you need will depend on the extra length your spacers for the mount may need. Wait and see what arrives with the mount. From your picture, you may get lucky. I've used stainless steel ones on my RT. The originals were in seriously tight, you may...

Has anyone made their own driver floorboard?

Be aware that the standard fit right-hand board breaks away at the front edge just incase the brake pedal needs to press lower than usual.

What a mess ….. first oil change on my 1330

1330...Put front on car ramps, get oil pan ready, crack open the left side drain plug until the oil is flowing out, remove right-hand mirror and panels, replace oil filter, replace panels and mirror, go for a cuppa while it finishes draining, replace and tighten the left drain plug, move oil pan...

Question about accuracy of shop manuals

Probably not a good plan. If your brake rotors are wearing unevenly they will get worse and may pass being usable. You may end up in a fight trying to get them replaced under warranty.

Question about accuracy of shop manuals

Yes, I've corrected this issue on two RT's. The official manual gives no runout specification for the hub flanges it only gives a brake disc runout and there are anomalies in the manuals for different years. I believe it's 4 thou (0.004") and this is a very common brake disc runout on many...

For Blueknight911 - Vredestein for rear tire 2016 RTL

Ah, well you may be disappointed, the Vredestein tyre is an 'All weather' tyre and as such is a compromise tyre primarily designed for countries of moderate climate where it's possible to have satisfactory results because the extremes of the weather are not great. It is a tyre capable of...

Help! Only half of ignition coil is firing.

Firstly, I'm not familiar with a 2008 but I am familiar with a 2010 and this is how it works on the 2010. Disconnect the coil connectors, probe the pins with a multimeter set to DC volts, one of the pins in each connector should read close to battery volts. If this is not the case you have a...

Perhaps it's more to do with the shaft being prone to corrosion after the seals have wiped them dry when they're open.

    Can-Am 25" Adjustable Vented Windshield Good for a Tall person? (6'4 )

I use the vented 23" and am 6ft tall. It is substantially better than the stock shield even though it's narrower but only if the vent is open. The air from the vent gets swept upwards along with the air coming under the shield and it produces a quiet, turbulence free riding area. I look over the...
