• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Amsoil + oil at mid level = shudder?

Interesting I'll check with my dealer if there are any updates for mine. Also I think I'm gonna fill a bit more to see if it gets better.

Amsoil + oil at mid level = shudder?

Sorry forgot to mention, Amsoil Metric 10W40.

Amsoil + oil at mid level = shudder?

Still waiting for the new front sprocket, meanwhile I've noticed a shudder at take off that I believe I had not before my recent oil change. It's not really noisy or bumpy (not sure even if I should call it shudder) just seems the throttle is not responsive for a couple of seconds and it's...

LED turn signals and now hyper flash

Have a 2018 F3-S (Euro model) and the Lamonster method worked with mine. The trick should work with all Spyders with BUDS... I believe from 2019 and + the system has been upgraded to BUDS2 and you'll need resistors with it. Could be yours is a late 2018 model which got the BUDS2, mine has a...

A little help for one man - need front sprocket advice?!

Located in Europe also (Portugal). I'm going with M-77 moly paste from Honda (let me known if you wish to know where I ordered it from) instead of the kluberpaste. You'll need to replace the bolt, once it's removed it shouldn't be reused. Still waiting for the new sprocket to be delivered...

Another one bytes the dust... Front Sprocket Failure - Red Dust!

Took the old sprocket out... Thank God it went out nicely after applying a bit of WD-40. Axle is good and the sprocket teeth's don't seem to be that bad also, but I'm guessing after the red dust comes it should go south quickly... So now I'm concerned about that accelerator slipping I...

Another one bytes the dust... Front Sprocket Failure - Red Dust!

So still with the old failing sprocket... Done a short ride today to burn a bit of old fuel not before checking if there were any play on the pulley, which there wasn't. While taking off on a steep hill I definitely felt it like it was slipping in first gear for 2 or 3 seconds then it...

Another one bytes the dust... Front Sprocket Failure - Red Dust!

Well ordered from my local BRP dealer here which told me they had to order from the factory. Should have been delivered 30/04 but now they are saying 12/05 instead... Hope I haven't to wait a more few days... :/

    Overheating F3s

Cleaned mines this Winter after 16000mi and 2 years, they were actually not that bad.

Thanks. I just ordered the Honda stuff... 1 pound of loctite just didn't made sense. Now I'll have to wait everything to be delivered.

Another one bytes the dust... Front Sprocket Failure - Red Dust!

Oh that will never know as the paste BRP recommends seems to not have any. For me now it's more a question of getting the right stuff at the right price. Found LB 8012 and Honda M77 on ebay, both coming from the UK. 454g/16Oz/1lbs of LB 8012 at 84,47€/$100 or 75g/2.6Oz of Honda M77 at...

Another one bytes the dust... Front Sprocket Failure - Red Dust!

LB8012 explictly says +65% in it's datasheet: https://www.werkenmetmerken.nl/docs/Loctite_LB_8012_TDS.pdf Now if Honda M77 is Molykote M77 then I think it may have other issues as the datasheet states: "Suitable for lubrication points with low to moderate loads and low speeds that are subjected...

Another one bytes the dust... Front Sprocket Failure - Red Dust!

So in terms of what should be applied we have: Loctite LB8012 Moly Paste Anti-Seize Compound (or Loctite 51048/51049) Kluberpaste 46 MR 401 Honda M77 (which replaced Honda M60) used for Honda shaft transmissions. Now LB8012 apparently meets the requirement of 60% molybdenum disulfide (which is...

Yes of course. I do not drive "aggressively" and would say 80% of time I don not shift down and let the transmission do it on its own.

Just ordered the new sprocket and bolt today so I guess I'll be doing it myself. 153€+14€ = 167€ or around $200... not cheap. Looking for the Moly Paste and it's not easily available here... will keep searching. Thank you.

We're just going out of lockdown here (Portugal, Western Europe), doing a little Spring maintenance and just found this... Totally aware of the problem been doing routine checks at 5000km/3100mi intervals. For stats it's a 2018 F3-S euro model with 27000km/16777mi not using any belt...

Key or no key that is the question...

So no real reason to leave the key there at least electronically as the DESS won't read the key until ignition is on. Bigger issue would then be messing with the little metal flap thing which shouldn't be a real issue when in the garage, still I might stop leaving it there just because of that...

Key or no key that is the question...

Ride all year here but we're in lockdown so the Spyder is getting more time in the garage than usual. I leave it with the parking brake off (wheels choked) and plenty of fuel (not overfilling it). Also I leave the key in the ignition... Think I've read somewhere it was recommended but not sure...

What do I need for an oil change?

Sorry, you are right. It's the 1330 ACE engine with semi-automatic SE6 transmission. (F3-S MY2018)
