• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    It has teeth!

We finally saw the 2020 RT's at the dealership last week and that was the first thing we both thought too -- "what's the purpose of those fangs?" You're not alone.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Checking tire pressure and topping off if needed and then we're going for a ride.

Are Fast Flash turn signals illegal in US? Unsafe? If so, how to fix? (LED bulbs)

Safety inspections? what is this thing you speak of? We've never had those here.

    Why get a motorcycle?

As a kid, riding mini bikes in the fields around us, and also riding on the back of friends motorcycles. Got my first motorcycle when I was 20 and after a couple more of those, got my first Spyder. I'm on my second one now and it appears nothing is going to change... that's a good thing.

    Riders Advantage Warranty Price Question?

is the Riders Advantage plan they're offering an extended warranty plan or is it a service plan? I got the Riders Advantage service plan and it covers 1 service and 1 oil change per year and also a new battery. There are about 4 different "levels" of service you can get and what you can get is...

    Battery replacement

I vote for being safe while you're on a road trip. If it makes you feel any better, I replaced mine (Feb 2015) a month ago and my husband replaced his (Sept 2015) on Saturday so we're all in the same boat.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Put a few hundred miles on it for the past 3 days. Supposed to snow tonight, but later in the week back up to the 60's so hopefully more riding in a couple days.

Ball Bearings & Metal Ring Found in Engine Oil During 3K Mile SVC - Help!

It's been my experience that all F3's kind of sound like someone shaking a box of rocks on the left-hand side. I listened to the video and I have to say that it sounds slightly more high-pitched and metallic than what I'm used to. Since it is a video and every computer is different the sound...

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

Are Fast Flash turn signals illegal in US? Unsafe? If so, how to fix? (LED bulbs)

we have 2015's and Lamonster's video fixed the hyperflash for me (I didn't like it). My hubby likes it and left it. It hasn't seemed to cause any damage in the last 4 years. That said, I don't know for sure.

    We did it last weekend

I think the big change for the RTs happen for the 2020 model year. Based on past experiences, there may be some minor changes for the 2021 model year, but after making such a major change, BRP usually lets things shake out a bit before introducing more major changes. As always... I could be...

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

I was going to say something similar, but I think you covered it. It will take awhile to unlearn motorcycle habits and replace them with Spyder habits. Once you're really comfortable, you'll be able to drive the twisties just as fast or faster than most on 2 wheels. When we ride with our 2...

LIDLOX: Excellent product, fantastic customer service

We've used LidLox on all of our rides since they came out. We have full face helmets, so not every helmet can do this, but we hook the anchor thru the helmet D-ring and then we hang the helmet on the end of the handlebar so it's not dangling upside down. This prevents the bird poop from...

100kph slide, is nanna nuts or saviour ???

My incident was not referenced in any of the previous threads. For my situation, there was no oil on the road, though in our canyons it's always possible that there's loose gravel. There was a motorcycle behind me and he didn't have any issues other than probably wondering what the heck I was...

100kph slide, is nanna nuts or saviour ???

This sounds very much like an incident that I experienced in 2017. Going through a right-hand sweeper at 60+mph and had the nanny suddenly brake on me sending me into the oncoming lane of traffic -- luckily no cars coming towards me at that moment. I had wheel balancers on my F3. I removed...

    Review: on the ropes

GO for it! I sold my 2012 RT Limited for a 2015 F3-S and now I have over 50,000 miles on it and 0 issues. The new engine is fantastic, you won't be disappointed.

    On The Hunt

I agree on the bump skid no matter which Spyder you decide on. Lighted.... maybe not. Depends on the roads you ride/how aggressive you are. I took out the lights on my lighted bumpskid on a cattleguard very early on and have also had a few other "incidents" where I could hear the front of the...
