• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    30 psi in frt tires

Well, there are only about 5 000 threads on tires here that answer almost every imaginable technical question but few that are willing to do an intelligent "Search" for themselves. ::hun: There's a difference between helping and enabling. This forum is rich with info, advice and answers. We...

    Storing spyder

What's the difference between riding the Spyder throughout the winter or having it in a shed? It's a modern machine with modern equipment and it's still sitting on 3 wheels. Focus more on the maintenance suggested for storage.

    Heated gloves vs grips

I second the above. First, most things in life are rarely either/or. Also, heated grips will be of little help when the temps are in teens or single digits. I ride year 'round in Maryland, would never consider not having heated gloves in winter. The grips are just a bonus.

Rode with some Harley riders today

It's difficult to ride in an orderly staggered formation otherwise. Even in our club the Trikes are in the back, even the Harley trikes.😁

    2012 spyder RT catches fire

6 year old bike Been smelling gas; kept riding, wanted BRP take responsibility, yet no indication of getting a dealer/repair shop to troubleshoot and repair. Cries "lawyer". Seems totally legit.

If you're really cheap, take off the seat and sit in the frame🤣

What Chupaca said. "Search" is your friend and another tire thread to the hundreds already here is neither necessary nor helpful.😌

US imposes 300% import tariff on Bombardier

I likely grew up in a different income class. We couldn't afford most non-essential consumer goodies until the Chinese imports started coming in. They were cheap in quality but also in cost.

    Great article

Looks more like a overt advertisement than an article about BRP or Spyders

Is it cold where you live ?

Have ridden through 11 winters here in Baltimore before getting the Spyder this year and although I use heated gear, a seat was never one of them. Never felt it was necessary even on the sub-20° days. In cold weather it's never my a$$ that gets cold

Cool / Cold Weather Riding Gear

I as well am at a Medicare age (65) and have always used the Gerbing jacket liner and gloves on my Harleys with street clothes, along with chaps and polypro longjohns at/below 32°. Had a bad accident in February so got an SE5 and use the same gear on that. I ride year-round here in Baltimore...

Just not gonna trust my $$$ Spyder with a $5 trickle charger same as I wouldn't trust my toddlers with a $5/hr babysitter...... I'll just sleep better.

    Cold weather riding

^^THIS. I've ridden at times when it was 19°. Look at a Windchill Chart for actual temp at 60 mph down I-95 for the hour and a quarter to Arlington..... It's not about the bike, it's about having the gear.

Had an Accident; Advice on New Spyder

Defensive riding, riding as if you're invisible and anticipating potential problems is ALWAYS an invaluable part of riding that can never be stressed too much. It doesn't matter who's at fault- the motorcycle rider will always end up on the worst end of the car vs. motorcycle equation. As...

Ok so I have an oil question

I agree there's many, many knowledgeable people here most of whom have addressed the basic issues that us new owners stumble upon. Here's a suggestion for other newbies that's worked well for me. Read through the forums and bookmark what one may anticipate as important sooner or later. Saves a...

Ok so I have an oil question

OK....... but it mentions where on the dash the lights are and which come on during initial startup. The other multiple oil threads and DIY section videos here address every aspect of oil change/adding, etc. Really, IMHO the best way to become a new Spyder owner is to read the manual front to...
