• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3-S: Really bad vibration at interstate speeds

I am approaching 21000 miles on my F3S and suffer no vibration issues from 0 to well over 100 mph. I have had the belt harmonic vibe on my 3 RTs but usually only during a 5mph window that I could blow right through. Suspect this issue is unique to your bike and not generic.

    spot how many use it

I have the spot gen 3 system and have used it for tracking 7 Iron Butt Rydes so far this year. It is very accurate, and reliable. My wife loves being able to see where I am and to even know when I will be arriving home. I transmit the spot data to the spotwalla app because spotwalla stores...

    helmet longevity

Rules of thumb were generated by for people who ride average miles (or not much). I ride every single day in all sorts of weather - now averaging 36000 mile per year, so I replace my helmets annually..... Several years ago I was in an accident where the helmet saved my life so I would rather...

Platinum vs gold vs just certified dealers

Seems to me that referrals from existing customers of a dealership would be more important than a rating from a manufacturer that may not have even been to the dealership

F3S rear tire replacements- any options

I replaced my OEM tire at 10000 miles with a Kumho Ecsta AST 225/50 15 (exact OEM tire size). I have 10500 happy miles on the Kumho already with little or no wear.. I have averaged 30000 miles per tire on my three previous kumho s . I buy them on eBay for $81 delivered to my doorstep...

Infor on Owners event in 2016

BRP has a track record of announcing owners events fairly late in the planning cycle. But i agree with Ann - if you look at all the other Spyder events that are planned for the year - six or seven of them are likely to become "owners events" by getting some support from Canada.. Actually that...

    Thinking about a spyder

2012 RT is a great bike. I put over 43000 miles on mine before trade in (no problems at all). One thing I have noted is that once people try the SE transmission they seldom look back. My 2010 was an SM5 but since trying the SE I love it and would never go back.. I found the only reason I...

    Shoei vs HJC Helmets

I ride with an HJC helmet because it fits me the best. I survived totaling a Spyder against the side of a trailer truck (his fault) with no injury with the HJC, but in contrast my friend who owns a motorcycle racing team says he only uses Shoei for his riders (of course they exceed 165 mph)
