• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Fun In The Sun

There should be at least 3’ of snow on the ground and well below freezing. However, beautiful afternoon yesterday in the upper 30s. Sun was out, roads were clear. So I just had to get out for a ride. I found a spot in an industrial park to try her out in the snow. Really, really bad going in the...

    Luggage Rack

The MBL Innovations rack works with the BRP Quick Release Backrest and also with the SmoothSpyder adjustable back support. Will not work with the BRP Adjustable Backrest. I am very happy with the rack - looks good and solid build. I just prefer the look of my F3T without any rack. However, after...

    Motorhome-Truck-Spyder

The setup is not considered a double trailer tow. Double trailer tows are illegal in Washington State. The trailer toad (trailertoad.com) is considered an extension of the motorhome chassis. The only law I have to worry about with it, is that the trailer toad can not extend more than 15' past...

    Motorhome-Truck-Spyder

Weight is definitely an issue. My mh has a 10k tow limit. I pull a (2) or (3) horse trailer most the time. Never with more than (2) horses. I changed the chinsy class III hitch that it came with to a custom class V that has rails that run all the way past the factory chassis connection to just...

There are a few manufacturers that make the tandem tow dolly with decks up to 10'. I know of one that makes a double decker, but it uses ramps on one side to drive atvs to the top level. I want to have hydraulically lifted rails to winch the boat trailer up. Think double decker car trailer...

    Enclosed Trailering of Spyder RT/F3T

Mike… I recall that thinking back in the bias ply days. The charts I see now for radials adjust psi to maintain a correct contact patch for tread wear and heat, and a low enough psi to not have the harshest of rides at low load. I have (8) trailers and a tow dolly, the last purchased 15 years...

    Enclosed Trailering of Spyder RT/F3T

If you are getting excessive bulging with (4) load range D tires and just (2) Spyders and trailer as a load, then I suggest to you that you have an issue with air pressure and/or quality of tires. “D” 15” tires typically run at about 60psi cold max. What are you running? In addition to load...

    Enclosed Trailering of Spyder RT/F3T

Sounds more like an issue of load range of tires, not the number of axels. A standard 7x14 enclosed trailer w/single 5000# to 7200# axel with an "E" load range 16" tire would hardly even flex w/two spyders loaded. Every tire on the ground reduces fuel mileage for one. Each axel along with...

    Motorhome-Truck-Spyder

Platforms come in 4', 6' 8' & 10' lengths. The 6' would work for loading the Spyder side to side. Regards, Don This is what I am building for behind my MH.

    belt tension

That's 67.5LBs +/- 22.5LBs for the F3. Has anyone gone as low as 45LBs? My 2017 F3 Repair & Maintenance Manual - Updated 10/2017 states 775 N +/- 150 N (174LBs +/- 34LBs). That comes out to 140LBs min off the ground and about 160LBs on the ground. This is what I run with a damper. Still too much...

Question about F3 versus RT acceleration

My inseam is just a little longer. Had the same problem with stock #3 U-Fit. Changed to #5 U-Fit and problem solved. Also added the Ultimate Floorboards and made it even better. Regards, Don

    Throw away fasteners

My VW and Audi both have lots of single use fasteners. The Ford F350 and Expedition are older and do not. It is my understanding that these fasteners are designed for a single torque. When they are torqued to spec, they stretch a little. This is supposed to help the fastener maintain its torque...

    What 's for Dinner?

Thanksgiving turkey - Organic, free range (not only veggie fed), fresh (never frozen). Brine in salt and sugar for 48hrs. Gently lift the skin from the breast, around to the thighs. Lay thick cut, fatty smokehouse bacon under the skin, over the entire breast. Stuff and roast at 325* until done...

Oil Plug head broke off on 1330 F3.

If the screwdriver doesn't work. Clean plug and hex "L" wrench well with brake cleaner. Glue hex to plug with high strength/tech glue. Putty form of glue will not drip. Be extra careful not to get glue on case. Good luck! BTW: I was thinking about putting magnetic plug in. However, there are...

    Luggage Rack

I have the MLB rack. It is plenty strong and stable enough - a solid fit. I have an after market top case that I use with it. I don't like the look of ANY rack and/or top case on my F3T. That is one of the main reasons why I bought the F3T and not the LTD. However, I have been using the Spyder...
