• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone installed this homelink garage door remote?

Was asked for more detail through message, I placed mine under the cover in the picture. Plenty of room.

Has anyone installed this homelink garage door remote?

I put the transmitter off to the riders left, under the little triangular cover that shows when the Trunk is open. It is the side OPPOSITE where the BUDS cable is. There is a good bit of room under the cover, I also put a fuse block in the same location. Makes it very easy to get short cables...

Has anyone installed this homelink garage door remote?

I should have added, the switch with the mo-door is rectangular, the center of the Can Am panel is a smaller round hole. Yours has likely been trimmed already, given the USB port that is there, but if not you will need to trim the switch panel to the correct shape. Not hard to do.

Has anyone installed this homelink garage door remote?

Mo-Door has a motorcycle opener, and they offer a variety of switches including one that matches perfectly the existing Can Am switches. You can choose between 1 or 2 "way" switches, so 1 or 2 doors. Put on mine and it works like a charm. http://www.mo-door.com/Can-Am_Spyder_Toggle_Switch.html

    Maps

Not sure on Genius, but you can import a route into Sygic. You can either use their mapping program (https://www.sygic.com/blog/2018/web-route-planner-plan-your-routes-in-smarter-ways) and send a mail to yourself, or create a GPX and use ITN Converter to convert the file to a sygic format...

    2018 tech question

My dealer originally was going to charge me for an update, but the technician said it was (should be) warranty since it fixed things that did not work from the start. You are on the right track with the issue discussion. This said, $120 is ridiculous. My dealer was going to charge me $40 plus...

2019 RT-L with Garmin 590 Nav. No nav audio through speakers.

I believe the challenge will be that the bike will stream Bluetooth, but you will have the same challenges as aux ---you would have to have the bluettoth selected for audio output, so only would work if playing mp3s from the Garmin. Also, not positive the Garmin will pair, there are multiple...

2019 RT-L with Garmin 590 Nav. No nav audio through speakers.

The bike has 2 bluetooth connections, a phone and a headset (actually 2 headsets...). Most headset have 2 "phone" connections. For a Sena, you use "Phone 1" to connect to the bike, then "phone 2" to the GPS. Anything that comes across phone 2 when set as GPS will interupt the headset (mute or...

2019 RT-L with Garmin 590 Nav. No nav audio through speakers.

I believe what the dealer is telling you is correct, and agree completely that would be "not good". You would have Aux only, but could load MPs or maybe SIRIUS Radio (not sure if that Garmin supports SIRIUS), but nothing else when getting voice prompts. It would not have been hard for Can Am...

Cardo packtalk bold and the 2018 can am blue tooth radio.

I'd not tried Aux since my update, just had seen the setting was Aux over bluetooth. I just looked at mine and it says it is sending Aux over Bluetooth, but no sound. Interesting, I wonder if 20.8 still has a bug in it.....I am using a PacTalk Bold, but since FM works fine do not think it is a...

    BRP Connect issues

As a workaround to the default to BRP Connect, you could get a USB charge only cable. Since those cables do not transfer data, the bike should not throw the phone into BRP Connect. If you can't find a charge only cable, they used to be common but I've not seen allot lately, you could try an...

Cardo packtalk bold and the 2018 can am blue tooth radio.

For systems with BRP Connect, SW update 20.8 sends radio and aux to headsets. Seems to work well

HAND BRAKE for Spyder f3 model

ISCI still makes them, or at least they did a month or so ago. I found there were two ISCI websites, one seemed "dead". Phone was always picked up quickly, maybe they took a company week off. There is also a forum member who is looking the build them at a VERY economical price but similar...

Just got the New Version V20.80 Firmware on my 2018 RT

I just had mine done yesterday. My FL dealer was going to charge me $40 plus tax to do the upgrade since I was already at 13.2 (Earlier versions there is a service bulletin). I was ready to pay, just wanted the system to work. When the first technician hooked it up, I heard him telling some...

    Accessory power fuse block

bcraig, One thought to mention. To keep size small, Showchrome has the positive and negative connections very close together. It is a similar approach to many other fuse blocks, so not a shortfall of show chrome, but you need to be very careful when hooking it up to avoid a short. You will...

    Accessory power fuse block

bcraig, I have the showchrome on my Spyder, I have the other 2 I mentioned on a Slingshot. The showchrome works well and easy to install. I did not install the turn signal etc integration, I just cut those wires short. Shoeud have mentioned the showchrome as well, just could not think of the...

    Accessory power fuse block

If you use one of the electronic fuse blocks (e.g. FZ-1) with built in relay, the main wires go straight to the battery. You will need access to a switched wire (e.g. accessory circuit) so some of the fuses switch on/off but easy to do ---- they allow you use of switched or not. There are many...

Viewing Genius Maps route in dash

You mention she sees that "she sees it highlighted in the phone BUT doesn’t see the highlighted route in the dash". Does she have Genius display (at all) on the dash, or is she seeing the map but the specific turn by turn is not shaded? If she is not seeing anything, I might try a different...
