• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Proper Oil Level Verification Procedure on 1330-engined Spyders

There is only one reason that the industry does things like this. It is the brain dead operator who doesn't check his tires or remember he has a kid in the back seat. Don't blame the industry for these things. It is an operator issue.

Pasco motorcycle training school. terrible experience.

Around my part of the world, there are no three wheel classes available. That said, you can get a two wheel endorsement that will also cover you for three wheels. The trainers provide the bikes and once you have completed the training (two days) you get your endorsement. All is good for any kind...

Anyone tried Tire Balancing with Ceramic Beads?

In my case, the factory weights were really close to being 100% but not quite. (the weights on the wheel were there to balance the tires that were on the wheels, not leftovers from previous tires) The beads took care of the slight imbalance that was still present. Also, they can't tell if the...

Anyone tried Tire Balancing with Ceramic Beads?

There is no need to remove existing weights.

    ridiculous maintenance charges

This seems very odd. They should love the extra time it takes to remove the plastic. More time equals more money not a higher per hour rate.

    ridiculous maintenance charges

My Honda Goldwings cost almost nothing to maintain. My Harley could easily cost as much or more than the Spyders. The brand and design are key in this conversation.

    ridiculous maintenance charges

Service is expensive. However, if you figure out the real cost to the dealer with a real service facility, trained mechanics, service management, accounting, etc, I am guessing that $100 per hour is a bit of a deal. It costs a good dealer a lot of money to have someone available with the parts...

Magic Mirrors causing gauges to misread

Finally, a real answer that explains the issues reported as well as some of the fixes and why they appeared to work. Thank you for the effort and information.

I would like to see the display also but, I would rather be seen than see the display. No dark upper clothing for me.

Magic Mirrors causing gauges to misread

The "so called magnetic field" is part of every magnet. Your speakers have it as do several other items you come in contact with everyday. They can raise havoc with many things electrical. If you want to see a more common way that magnets effect things you may use everyday, try mounting a...

How useful is Eco Mode? How easy to learn when to shift?

I hate it. I have only used it a few times but the loss in performance is significant and if I use their shift points, I lose mileage. My last tank using ECO was a bit over 32 MPG. My last tank without ECO was over 39 MPG. My normal mileage without ECO is about 37 MPG.

    clutch-less shift

:agree::agree: I agree that a lot of people do it. If you have a manual shift you should get to know how to do it just in case you have a clutch system failure. There is no reason that a broken clutch cable or master/slave cylinder failure would keep you from getting home. Getting started can be...

Magic Mirrors causing gauges to misread

On 5/13 I asked a question concerning the possible effects of these powerful magnets. My question was: "I think these mirror mounts look like a nice solution to the problem of mirror removal. I was wondering however, does anyone have any hard data that shows that these really strong magnets...

    Kenda Tire: Important Recall Information

I don't mean to question the validity of your statement. I am, however, curious where this "derating label" is and what does it say? I don't have a Kenda any longer and as such am not able to look at a tire and see this information.

    Kenda Tire: Important Recall Information

I am not sure what your source of information is but you have obviously never dealt with an automotive/motorcycle company. There will be nothing accidental about the design or performance characteristics of the Kenda tires. There is no way that Can-Am did not know about all of the issues we...

Probably not unless you have any special tools required and a lot of experience with this type of clutch system.

    1 gear not engaging

It sounds as if clutch failure is imminent. Could be in the clutch hydraulic system but in any case you need to get it addressed before any other damage happens.

    front tiire mud flap

From the factory it is a reflector, not a light. There is no place to plug a light in as a factory part. If it really is a light, tap into the fender tip running light.
