• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New back tire. Short valve stem. Do extenders exist that work?

So like I said, new back tire, but the valve stem is really short, and I struggled to get the PSI down from 30-18 because it took some finangling to get something on it due to where it is at. So 15 minutes to get the pressure where I wanted it. So do these kind of things exist? Or not?

Just to confirm my rear tire size and brand

So I finally found a guy that mounted my back car tire for me. For reference, I bought this: General Altimax RT45 When I went to pick it up, he told me was unsure of tire pressure, and put 30PSI in it, and I bounced all the way home. So what was the correct PSI for these? I sent you a couple...

We talked about a new rear tire for me. I bought one. But is this typical of Kendas?

I bought the tire you all recommended. But is this normal wear from a Kenda? Basically plenty of tread on the sides, but bald in the middle?

Should I replace just brake pads on my Spyder, or discs too?

I know that Slingmods sells rotors. I know that mine are the factory rotors. Are they the same thing? I know my pads are original as well.

Should I replace just brake pads on my Spyder, or discs too?

So I need new pads in the back. Generally for my cars, when I have the pads replaced, I replace the rotors as well. I feel like it minimizes noise. For the Spyder, not sure if replacing the rotors are typically necessary as well. So what do you guys recommend? Just pads, or do them and the...

Survey : who has had the newest (recall) front sprocket fail?

I did get the recall notice. But since that time, I just check it once a month and no red dust at all. Nice and clean. That was why maybe I shouldn't let them screw it up possibly when I have a perfectly good working sprocket as it is. :-)

Survey : who has had the newest (recall) front sprocket fail?

I was planning on getting the recall done while it is in there for a Spark plug change. But I have the white sprocket that I had put on 2 years ago. And the white sprocket has no red dust. Maybe I need to not get the sprocket replaced.

Retired, or .........? Why does posting rate here drop on weekends?

I rode from Kansas to Nebraska today and had an awesome saturday with my wife and a great group of guys with Indians and HD MC's. And several came over to check out the Spyder. They really were interested in it and what it could do. I felt a real kinship with these guys. No judgements and they...

I'm now on the 2nd Vers 2 front sprocket

I had the original black Sprocket. I ordered and had installed a white sprocket using a mobile mechanic company. That was two years ago. I checked it a couple of weeks ago and all clean. I am not thinking I am going to bother with the recall work.

I use Reno's for some work on my Spyder as well, and them seem to do a good job.

I brought the bike over to a friend of mine. He had a clip that worked with the glove box. Once installed, now I need two thumbs to open it. It is perfect again.

RT seems better suited for seniors

I have an 18 F3L and the wife and I just got back from a trip from Kansas to Nevada and back. Over 3K miles. I will say that even with an upgraded seat, I have wondered if an RT might be better and more comfortable with long rides.
