• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Clamp-on Highway Pegs

Cool. When you get the time can you take a pic of what you did? I was also thinking about a steel brace of some kind. Thanks.

    Clamp-on Highway Pegs

Yeah, I just saw Lamonster Garage NBV Highway Peg installation video...where he said "Don't rest your feet on the fin!", and showed why. Oh well...I guess I have to wait till I have the bucks for real brackets. I wish there was some way to reinforce that attachment point with a diff bolt/srew...

    Clamp-on Highway Pegs

I have a 2017 RTS. Today I went on a long beautiful 68 degree ride. My knee was bugging me a little, so I started putting my feet up onto the top of the lower black plastic wind deflector "thingy" just in front of the floorboards. It was a pretty comfy feet-forward riding position, they bow...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

To get a record page count, we would have to combine Kenda Tires with an Oil selection, something like..."I just changed my oil to generic lawnmower oil to add to my Kenda Tires, I can't wait to take a cross country trip!"

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

I only bought it to see if we could get another 5-page long tire thread. :roflblack:

    Tank Bag?

Cyclemax sells two diff models, both by Hopnel. They are both on this page: https://cyclemax.com/can_am_spyder One of them has a large map pocket attachment for a full size map.

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Cool! Now you and I can both be the "dummies that bought that crappy new Kenda tire"....or we could be the "early adopters that finally found a nice Kenda replacement". Time will tell :dontknow:

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Lamonster Garage emailed me back. Apparently they are running the Kanines at 28-30 psi for rear, and 18-20 for the front. Same as the OEM Kenda's. Just FYI.

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

I emailed Lamonster Garage and asked them the question about inflation pressure guidance for the rear Kanine (for some reason I couldn't get them on the phone). I'll post any info I get from them if/when they reply.

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

That's awesome, thanks so much for the info! I looked up the Lamonster Facebook post and since it says they are also installing them, I'll call the techs there and ask them about inflation pressure. Lamonster folks are always VERY helpful with phone inquiries. I feel better now :ohyea:

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

There are 2 subjects that always generate a lot of input on this forum...Tires, and Oil I have had my spyder for 3 years and have no particular problem with the stock Kenda's that came on it, other than I would like to have gotten more than 9,000 miles out of the rear. The fronts still have a...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

The above is very helpful to me. I will get the dealer to install the new rear Kenda Kanine and have them set it at 30 psi. I then drive about an hour home and recheck the tire pressure. Somewhere around 34 and I'm hopefully good, Lower than 34 and I adjust down in pressure a bit after the...

1330cc Bag to strap on passenger seat

Kuryakyn makes one. Here's Lamonster's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFJ9JmOS5RM I was thinking about getting one.

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Well, something changed because the max. psi at the same load increased 47% from 30 to 44 psi. The only choice I have with installers in my area is the new Kanines or the old spec Kenda's. I decided to at least give the new ones a shot. I only got about 9,000 miles on my OE rear tire before...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Understood, I'm just looking for a place to START the process. Can Am and Kenda have been ZERO help with this, and I need to tell the dealer/installer..."Fill it up to XX psi". 28-32 isn't that much different than the stock OEM Kenda recommendations in the Owners Manual, but even with the...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Peter, Using some research (done by you) previously on weight distribution, I think that a 2017 Spyder RTS with a normal load and a 175 lb rider (me) should weigh a total of about 1250 lbs. Using an estimate from your research of about 45% of that weight on the rear wheel, that puts the rear...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Ok, I got my "better half" to read off the information from the Kanine rear tire I have in the garage. Here it is (it's all Greek to me): 005A (circled) DOT 1K3 Max Load 400 kg (882 lbs.) AT Max Press 300 kPa (44psi) COLD For Special Motorcycle Use Only Made in Taiwan E4 (circled) 75R-0014862...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Thanks! So, the new Kenda Kanine rear tire is max pressure of 44 psi at 882 lbs. max load vs. the old OEM Kenda rear tire of 30 psi max pressure at 882 lbs. max load. The Can Am Spyder Manual for the old rear tire recommends 27-30 psi normal inflation pressure (near the max for that tire)...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Anyone know offhand what the Max Inflation Pressure on the old OEM Kenda's is (Rear Tire)? I mean max pressure listed on the tire sidewall, not what the Spyder Owners Manual recommends. I just wanted to compare to the new Kanine. Thanks.

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Just to clarify, I know mine has a directional arrow and they are clearly directional tires. Also the 44 psi is stated as Max pressure on the sidewall, not recommended inflation pressure. I'll post verbatim info from the sidewall when I get back in town.
