• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Rally Name!

Ann, he was actually planning a Spyder event in Myrtle Beach next year to coincide with Bike Week. I believe that the next event name would not be able to have Smokies in it at all. He could still contest (read that sue) it.

That's another thing - he wanted Gina to 'buy him out'. The nerve of him. But not surprising.

    One more time Vibration experiment

Vibration is inherent in any object with moving parts. I worked jet engines for 20 years. I've seen them destroy themselves from vibration. Yes, the specs on any IC engine can be tightened. Sometimes to the point of being no use. There are too many variables. Engine type, # of cylinders, size...

    Spyder boo boo

I let a friend who drives an RT drive my F3. I won't do that again. Along those lines, my neighbor brought his Cat Skid Steer over for me to use cleaning up some trees we cut down. I was swapping implements when I broke both latch arms. I picked up the pieces, took them over to the office and...

    Headlights

It happens. Electrical components, especially bulbs, are unpredictable. Some have had them go out sooner.

    in the shop

I too am curious as to why the battery on a 2014 was replaced. If the dealer used a bottle fill battery and didn't charge it, it will not last. Bottle fill batteries should not be used in the Spyder.

    Really?

I was out running errands yesterday when I drove by a local eatery. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I immediately turn around and went back. This is what I saw. I went in and the hostess asked if she could help me. I asked her about the flags. I was met with a blank stare then "what...

all you VETS, here is a cool add

I saw this the other day. It's a very good commercial. I get the 'thank you for your service' when I wear my Vietnam Vet hat or when I wear my riding vest. I usually reply with "thank you, but also thank the families of those that gave all and remember those that are still serving".

    Throttle

Been noticing lately that my throttle seems to stick occasionally. When I roll off to slow down it sometimes sticks and I have to manually roll it back to the idle stop. Thinking I need to pull the grip off and have a look at the return spring. Anyone else have this issue?

    Low flying F86H

This is what I was involved in today. Our RC was asked to provide a motorcycle escort for this refurbished F86H from Seymour Johnson AFB to it's new display point in downtown Goldsboro. The five mile trip took an hour to complete. Then another hour to get the flatbed parked. It will be raised to...

WOULD YOU DO THIS TO A BEAR, i wouldn't remember what he did

It wasn't the arm down the throat that ran the bear off. It was the stink and taste from the brown stuff running down the guys leg.

    Electrical help...please!

The magneto does not charge the battery until the engine reaches 4000 rpm. There is also a regulator rectifier involved as well. It is possible that a surge may have damaged on or the other.
