• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Cap so difficult to close and lock

Lets start a "Lube War"......lol WD-40 is not a lubricant. I use white lithium grease, turn my key to 3 o'clock and this works like a charm. I "lube up" every time I'm in garage and remember to do so. I sick and tired of arguing about tires, idlers and sprockets. Lets beat each other up...

    Any F3's with CB's Installed

Good points. If I was going to use any system I would bet on a CB. I prefer using my hand because its foolproof but as you mention in large group rides it fails miserably. Even with the fancy gadgetry some members have we rely on self reliance because these gadgets have failed. Most of my...

Why we should adhere to Maintenance Schedule

I'm reading thinking (hoping) my dealer is doing these as listed on the maintenance schedule. I'll never know because unless I tear apart everything he does it will be "faith".

Sitting on a Spyder without asking? Anyone have this problem?

I only had one experience with a group of kids who surrounded my F3s and one kid was sitting on it. I politely explained the "rules" or educate of touching someone's ride. They were teens, mostly around 15 or 16 years old and we all left happy. Kids will be kids and learn as they grow.....no...

    Which F3 model?

Too argumentative. You need to sit on all that interest you and if you feel the love then that's the bike to buy.

    Any F3's with CB's Installed

But you are inviting people to listen in to your conversation. CBs were good back in the non-cell phone days but since then....... When we do group rides there are enough nerds present who have a "gizmo" attached to their helmets and are linked. I'll stick to hand gestors, they work 100% of the...

    Any F3's with CB's Installed

I was thinking the same thing. I haven't even seen a person use a CB in 20 years......except truckers. Breaker Breaker good buddy.......lol

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

A failure rate of .001% is a big nothing burger on a great machine I had "red dust" and found it prior to failure because of this thread. Even with that stated I still think this issue is a big nothing burger. There is no citation on how many bikes suffer(ed) from this issue. We can "guess" it...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

.006% is nothing to get into a twist over I like to keep my life real. I'm calling this thread for what it is.....fear mongering BS. I'm also saying that with a very minor failure rate why buy something that will statistically never fail. Remember.........the failure rate is BELOW 1%. You will...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

Why would you buy a spare sprocket when the failure rate is almost nothing (.001%). Don't get sucked into this very BS thread. Check for red rust every 5000 miles and have fun.

    Arachnid Tire wear progress

What science? Where? Please cite the field tests conducted showing various tires and their braking distances on a Spyder. (that's called science) You cant because it doesn't exist.......muh feelings is not science. There are probably much better tires then Kendas but until I see the...

    Arachnid Tire wear progress

All this talk comes from people who are only talking mileage and "feel"......never traction. Mileage is based on facts and is a good thing. "feel" is not based on facts and way too opinionated to be of anyone's value. You mention performance....... Performance also includes traction but that's...

    Arachnid Tire wear progress

chow I'm staying out of tire talk until I see traction tests conducted. nojoke I'm not changing from my trusted Kenda tires because I might get a few more miles out of another brand.

    Are Car Tires Too Stiff?

children all I have ever asked is citations and all I have ever received is childish ridicule. if you are going to argue a point then provide validation of your opinion. you cant because your opinion is based on feelings and not science. my opinion is based on researchable science (tire...

    Are Car Tires Too Stiff?

I cant even respond to this because it makes no sense. Do drugs much?

    Are Car Tires Too Stiff?

Yes they are too stiff and why you will never see any citations from anyone proving they are soft enough for a lighter weight vehicle. Making matter worse......the Spyder only has 3 vs the 4 tires of a car making traction even worse. Choose wisely and choose before you slide into that telephone...

Insurance - Anyone have any history with Markel?

I have Geico for my house, car and bike. I pay $700.00 yearly but I keep top shelf liabilities on everything......so I pay more. You have to ask yourself an honest question.....what do you have to lose? If you have much to lose then insure up..... if not then go with an unknown unreliable cheap...

    Dog carrier for Spyder

New F3 fuel cap in the works from Lamonster Garage

I don't know if I would like a keyless fuel cap. When I travel I like the idea of locking down anything that a lowlife might damage/steal. Its interesting and I'll keep an eye on the reviews though....I am tired of constantly lubing my fuel cap.

Interesting Article on Motorcycle Sales in US

I have never owned an RV but many of my friends and family have or still are "roaders". Besides the money end of it I find stress being the number one factor they dump their RVs. (lots of mechanical issues develop) Yes they are fun but anything fun comes with a price tag. I was looking into...
