• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Suggestions on plugging holes

    1. Go to Lowes for the caulk. They offer everything you need and its in the paint area. 2. Be careful about drilling holes. We have had a few members accidently drill through wires, radiators etc.:yikes:

Interesting Article on Motorcycle Sales in US

RinconRyder. I could not agree more and is the main reason why I never bought an RV and smaller more towable bike. Why buy a touring bike just to tow it. Fire34. All of my friends with RVs actually spend more on their RVs then someone staying in a hotel. Loan, Maintenance, Insurance, RV...

Interesting Article on Motorcycle Sales in US

addictions Friends at Ocean City MD Bike Week last September discussed this. We generally agreed that MCs are outrageously expensive and getting worse. We also agreed that sooner or later we would buy our last bike as a result. I did some math.......I have spent roughly $50,000 on bikes in...

    Do Spyders have "black boxes"?

It's best to consider Big Brother watching everything you do. Not trying to sound paranoid but your cell phone is the number one way "they" track you. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-01-29/fitness-tracking-app-accidentally-reveals-secret-us-military-bases-cia-black-sites

Does it really take 300 miles?

It took me 10,000 miles (6 months) to love the Spyder. Unlike many who bought a Spyder I didn't switch from 2 wheels to 3 because of a disability. I still miss leaning though.

    OEM tires improved?

You are comparing apples to oranges. Two different companies with two different legal teams in two different countries with two different styled machines. The Spyder is sold as a fun, fast and safe machine. The Tri-Glide is sold as a slow machine for the "aged". I couldn't get my buddies 2017...

    OEM tires improved?

I am not an engineer nor an attorney but I have testified in court regarding vehicle accident reports I have investigated. Giving bad advice is fine unless you are a professional in the given field. This is why professionals in a given field will always tell someone seeking free or friendly...

    OEM tires improved?

Probably not. Will he testify in court for you? Will he be allowed to testify in a court? Will he be willing to risk his business giving bad advice? What Lamont does personally versus professionally will never be discussed on this forum, none of us will. None of those babbling...

    OEM tires improved?

Tire manufacters have done actual tests......have you? Until someone shows me an actual test conducted that would be permitted in a court I'll stick with my trusted Kenda tires. All this "talk" and what they "feel" would never be permitted in a court when you are sued in an accident using car...

    OEM tires improved?

yet another tire fight My front KENDA tires are 20,000 miles and still going strong without ANY issues. My rear KENDA tire was replaced at 13,000 miles but could have EASILY gotten 15,000 out of it. If it "aint" broke don't fix it.:banghead: Go ahead and put a harder rubber compound tire on...

    Electric F3-E concept

I know BRP was testing a steam engine Spyder. I think they were going to heat the engine with coal but I'm not sure. I'm going to transfer my stock options into coal to "cash in" if this goes through.

    Yeah baby!

I was laughing when I wrote that. I also wrote that after showing it to both my buddies and their wives. We chuckled cause as you just stated....families constantly have things going on. If I want to go riding I would sometimes call my buddies wives to see what was up so as to not infringe...

    Yeah baby!

"So, I ask the wife this evening at dinner if there is anything she would like for me to do tomorrow." "Her reply was I can do whatever I want." You have to ask permission to go for a ride? hahahahahahahahahahahahahaah:banghead:

    Crampbuster or Throttle Rocker

It wasn't a BRC....it was an ERC and he was a road captain in my club at the time. (also a friend) I must say it was many years ago and even at the time I was a bit desperate for some "hand relief" on long trips. I knew occasionally I would inadvertently twist the throttle when turning left but...

    Crampbuster or Throttle Rocker

I had the throttle rocker on a bike years ago during an experienced rider course. My instructor took it off my bike and threw it across the parking lot and told me to ride over it. What he told me and from my experience is that they do cause you to occasionally twist the throttle when you don't...

    Global Warming......yeah, about that!

"General Consensus" does not exist! This phrase "General Consensus" is complete BS when it comes to the global warming argument. For that phrase to be legit there must be a list of every climate scientist and their opinion, there is not. Adding insult to the man made climate change crowd I...

    30 psi in frt tires

"handling" is also steering. I felt as do many that the steering effort was vastly improved with Rons sway bar. (I was a HUGE sceptic) When a trike leans, albeit slightly, the effort to control it increases. Even with the electric steering assist a better sway bar improves this effort.

    Tires

I'm not a fan of a moderator. You can block anyone you don't want to see so that should be good enough for the snowflakes. The "arguments" I see are normal conversations I've had with friends. Which Oil? Which Tire? etc are normal conversations amongst friends. Digits on a screen will never...

    Global Warming......yeah, about that!

If the majority of the worlds population knew how people are manipulated. Either we are freezing or we are heating up.......what they want is taxes, manipulation and control. One fact remains.....the industrial age wiped out the dinosaurs. :joke:
