• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Oil Leak Saga

Yesterday, on the way to Bert’s Canyon Cruise, I noticed I had an Oil leak. When I got to Bert’s, I checked out my Spyder. It looked like the Oil leak was coming mainly from my rear Valve cover. While I was there, I purchased a set of valve cover gaskets. I was thinking I would spend today...

    Air Pressure

Those of you that have had a Spyder for a while know what a pain in the butt it is to check the air pressure, or put air in the rear tire. I have a Fix. I am sure others have done this, but I finally got around to it. Next time you replace your rear tire. Install a 90 degree valve stem...

    Front End Alignment

Sorry KRB, I missed this question. On mine there is a line on the Frame 3.779 inches (I think thats right, don't remember) from the front of the frame which indicates where to mount the center point of the 8 ft piece of Aluminum. The actual measurements are taken from a mark you place on that...

    Front End Alignment

I didn't have t the Plastic stops. I used rubber stops instead. The Idea is to just keep the rotor from moving, so you get accruate measurements. Also, its not in the service manual. but if you do have to do adjustments. You should take the Frunk off. It makes it easier to adjust the tie-rod.

    Front End Alignment

Yes ther is a center point. However, you do need a service manual. These are the tools required. 1 piece of Aluminium 8 FT long 2 in wide. I used 1/8" think 2 pieces of Aluminum 7 in long 1 in wide. Measureing tape 2 tie downs. to keep the bars and tires from moving 2 C-Clamps. To hold the...

    Front End Alignment

Sorry, about the Picts. Once I got into the project, I forgot abut taking pictures. I would say it was just normal tire movement. I have over 50,000 miles on my Spyder. I am also guesing that the dealerships either didn't do the front end alginments, I paid for, or Just didn't do them correctly.

    Front End Alignment

This past Saturday, I spent the day doing a front end alignment on my Spyder. I decided to do my own, rather than taking it to the shop. The reason being, I have paid for two front end alignments over the past nine months, and both times, the shop said; evrything it within spec. Well when I did...

    Grips

I have had these on for two days. I could realy kick myself for not thinking of this sooner. Today, I did nothing but city driving. I have not had any discomfort at all. These are great. I am going to have to go get a second pair for when these wear out. This is by far the best $14.00 I have...

    Grips

I have always had an issue finding correct handgrips, for my Spyder. I have a bit of arthritis in my hands. When using standard grips, they tend to get pretty soar, on long rides, canyon runs, and always in city driving. I have been using just the cheap $6.00 foam grips, for the past 30,000...

    April is Maintenance Month

Maintenance for the month of April is finally, done. The Bike had a lot of down time but that was my fault. When I started this month, all I wanted to do was replace my front wheel bearings. Well that turned into a slow and expensive lesson. It started the week after my leg surgery. I went to...
