• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New to me - which Spyder?

You can add cruise control to the F3 Base model. All you have to do is change out the RH Switch Housing from a F3S. It's a plug N play install. I have the part and plan on installing this fall or winter.

2017 F3 vs F3S down on power - computer? Will a flash fix this?

That would be a heck of a deal. I'm guessing that the F3 base model will be valued a bit more just because Can-Am dropped it from the 2024 lineup. I found the NADA PPV here: https://www.jdpower.com/motorcycles/2017/can-am/spyder-f3-sm6-1330cc/values I think it may be tough to find one @ 10k...

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

I use 91 or above for both my bikes. If I had to use regular in a pinch I would until I could fill-up with premium. I do use 10% E which helps with cost. Never a fuel related issue when treated as necessary.

Any Vendors who sell a Basic tool kit for Spyders (F3L)?

My '23 F3 came with a "basic" toolkit from BRP. In a separate kit bag - I also keep a tire plug kit, compact tire inflator, and a small jump pack with me. Takes up little room and can be swapped from bike to bike with ease.

2017 F3 vs F3S down on power - computer? Will a flash fix this?

    Yes - the power drop is a detune 105 hp on F3 base models 2017 thru 2021. The 2022 and 2023 F3 not detuned - 115 hp.

22 F3S Gustafson 20" windshield install with supplied brackets

Thanks for the write up. I ordered the 17" from them and it was delivered a couple weeks ago. I hope to get it installed after my next Spyder wash. So no issue with leaving the gauge spoiler on?

Looking for a List of Spyder Dealers in the USA...

Best I can come up with is the Can-Am Dealer locator. Put in where you are currently at and it will list the dealers starting with the closest to you. Have it on your phone for quick access. Check it out. https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en/shopping-tools/find-a-dealer.html#/search

Another overfilled ryker by the dealer.

Just another example of the value of a DIY service. It's easy and relatively simple: download the shop manual, acquire some tools, and watch some videos if needed. I enjoy servicing all my vehicles, motorcycles, tractor, and small engine stuff. At least I know the work was actually done and...

Is a 2 up shock a necessary item on the F3 and F3S?

I am planning on upgrading all 3 shocks in the near future. Maybe going with the M2. Probably don't really need to but I been hearing lots of good things about upgraded shocks, sway bar, and tires.

Your thoughts on F3 maintenance, costs, and reliability vs Ryker?

Looking in the F3 manual it states only Inspecting and Adjusting Drive belt @ 1 year or 9300 miles. No need to replace unless damaged or wore out.

Good to hear the positive feedback on SpyderPops. I just ordered a BumpSkid and it's currently headed my way!

Just replaced my Original Yuasa Battery with another after 7 years!

Even though I get about the same life out of all my batteries, my plan is to replace the battery every 3 years. The Spyder is very picky about voltage and I prefer not to take a chance while out enjoying a cruise. I can continue to use the older battery in something else - so no loss. I too...

Your thoughts on F3 maintenance, costs, and reliability vs Ryker?

Would you be referring to the CVT Drive Belt? Replacement @ 12k miles at a part cost of $370.
