• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Another Lift Question

Here is a pic of the front. You can see one side higher than the other. If the lift is inserted from the opposite side, same result, only .

    Another Lift Question

Hi all. I have a popular lift that I purchased a few weeks back. I also have a 2018 RTL. My problem is that the lift will not lift the spyder evenly. It tilts to the side no matter which side I lift from. Front to back is OK and front and rear tires come up the same. The lift platform wants to...

Age of riders buying a Ryker

I am 72. Getting too weebly for the wing and even scared myself that one day I was gonna hit the ground. Found a 2018 with 400 miles on it. Had a few problems but hope all that is over and I can learn to trust this ride as much as I have my Honda Wings. Took some getting used to and still...

    Oil Question

What are the thoughts on using 10w-40 oil in the RTL?? I know it calls for 5-40, but I have a pretty good supply of 10-40 left over from my Wing days. Clutch probs maybe?? How about mixing the two?? Anyway, thanks for your replies.

    Are Spyder sales Declining Fast?

If CanAm doesn't get dealers around the country up to speed on repairs and upgrades, do something about the ridiculous cost of parts, extremely long wait times for said parts, plus waiting weeks to get into dealers for service, get better quality control over the cheezy switches the Spyder uses...

Larger (big guys / gals) bikers

Other things to consider. I am also around three bills worth of biskits, and 6'3". My wife is way less and way shorter. She tools around on her rig like she was born to it. Me...not so much. Given she has had hers for three years and me only a couple of months. Still trying to cope with the...

    RT Service.

I am beginning to think that the dealers are so backed up with warranty issues and non-support from Can Am on their part availability, that it is almost impossible to get a rig worked on in a timely manner. Parts wise, Can Am is the worst. New 2018 RTL (400 miles) missing crush washer on timing...

    Something new and questions

Still no decision made on seat dilemma. Have got to ride new machine some the last few days. Things I have or am learning (since riding two wheels for years) are that obviously this is a different animal. Reprogram of old brain is in order since so many years riding has resulted in doing things...

    What's up with these 2018 RTL's

I just bought a 2018 Limited. First had an oil leak that took two weeks to get straightened out. The crush washer on the chain tensioner was not installed at the factory, and the parts listing had not been updated to reflect the new size. Next my control cluster went. No reverse or downshift...

    Oil Leak

Woo hoo. Got scoot back this afternoon. I think the Spyder tech was just as glad to get rid of it as I was to get it. Long battle for a little crush washer. The tech showed me the new one and the one called out in the parts fisch. They were definitely different and the one called out would not...

    Oil Leak

Latest update....They ordered the bolt just to make sure of the size of washer. Anyway, the bolt is on backorder until October. Sure hope nobody needs one of those. So, the folks an Can Am finally got a revelation and sent the correct washer. The mechanic, who also was p.o. ed at can-am, was...

    Oil Leak

They have another spyder in for extensive work that they are considering swiping the washer from. They have to get canam to approve it. I suppose due to warranty issues. Also...they HAVE found out that the chain adjuster was changed in size in, I believe he said, 2016. Apparently there have been...

    Oil Leak

Maybe they changed the size of the timing bolt and have yet to change the parts fisch??

    Oil Leak

Now I am confused. The "screw" that goes to the timing adjust is an M24. Almost an inch. The part I ordered came and it definitely will NOT fit an M24 screw. The hole is way too small. However, the exact same part number is used on various assemblies. The part number is also used on the oil...

    Oil Leak

I plugged the gasket ring number into google and got connections all over. Amazon, Cheapparts, Ebay, and on and on. I saw where one source wanted 17 bux for shipping. Anyway, I ordered one on the cheap, and it will be here next week. Something tells me that it will get here before the dealer...

    Oil Leak

Thanks...I think that number is the bolt, which is actually a threaded collar and the gasket is p/n 420430623 . Unless I am seeing it wrong, which is entirely possible.

    Oil Leak

Hi all....I just purchased a 2018 RT limited withe around five hundred miles on it. I discovered an oil leak and took it to the dealer. They found that a crush washer on the bolt that goes into to cam tightener cover was missing, obviously from the factory. The parts fiche gives a number but it...

    Something new and questions

Starting to look around at seats. I had a Corbin on my wing for 12 years and loved it. It solved my tailbone issue with the stock seat that was a pos anyway. Is Corbin still in business?? I sent them two messages with questions and another message to ask if they were gonna respond. No answer...
