• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sad key ?

now that if I disbaled the cov I know this can be done using BUDS Megatech but would there be insurance implications? I know that if I disabled the immobilisor here in the UK I wouldn't be covered for theft.

My (Hopefully) Final Questions About BajaRon Swaybar

It would benefit an F3 owner with a standard bar. As to value, mine was a gift from a forum member. Find someone with an F3 and they can get you a case of beer? (assuming you drink beer!!)

Gear Clunk when shifting into low or reverse from neutral - normal?

If you're going direct from 1st to Reverse or vice versa you don't get a clunk. Clunk is Neutral to 1st or Reverse. It is disconcerting but quite normal.

Best ECU flash results ever for me

I read his post to be is there any advantage in a 1330 that has had the ECU reprogrammed (presumably in an F3) over his tuned 998. So he was asking for 150 HP from the 1330 with no speed limiter. I could of course be wrong :dontknow:.

Best ECU flash results ever for me

Thanks for the last post, really useful. I would say I fall into the 'what most will want' category. Just better all round performance without pushing it too far. Although I do like the sound of removing the speed limiter and 'pull hard to 120'

Best ECU flash results ever for me

To Spyd_Piper What I think Bob is trying to say (apologies if not) and what I think a few of us want to know is this: What is the performance increase across the normal rev range (say 0-7500rpm) with this remap Lets assume a standard bike with the 1330 for this question Is there only a gain...

Best ECU flash results ever for me

To be honest Bob I can't see me ever getting to 8800rpm as I rarely rev beyond 7K now, but I'd want the limiter in place to make sure. I too had a look at the options page and had similar questions to you. This is clearly early days and expect the tuner to have standard packages available...

Best ECU flash results ever for me

The standard mapping under 60% throttle is a good idea, that way you could use the ECO mode to always stay within normal parameters if wanted. I think 8800rpm sounds more than high enough and I would always want to err on the side of protecting the engine as opposed to maximium performance.

    Akrapovic Exhaust

Is that the one from Australia? Edit - seen the other post now and answered my own question.

    Luggage question

I left the links standard as the bar was free from a forum member when I was on holiday in Florida. No point buying links as an extra when the bar was free. Also, the links are the same as fitted to the RT so if they are strong enough to cope with the weight of the RT I'm happy to have them on...

    Luggage question

Sounds like you'll be making some changes!! I've added lots of accessories but modding so far is lmited to RT sway (anti roll to us in the UK) bar at the front and replacing the rubbish rear shock with the 'occassional 2 up' one. Upgrading the anti-roll is well recommended and reduces...

    Luggage question

Glad you're sorted. Bought a few bits from OHG - my preferred go to dealer for parts despite living in Stoke!! Not much available here for back rail. SHAD is not out yet, only other option is to import one from the US but it's costly. Which F3 have you gone for?

    Luggage question

I don't think you'll get your Givi cases on the F3 without making your own brackets or adapting the GS ones. I would also recommend the SHAD bags, really good quality. £395 all in (bags & brackets) from Loyd at OHG in Devon. Easy to fit, just need to make a couple of holes bigger in the...

    ECU remap for more torque

Excellent, will be interesting to read their review.

    ECU remap for more torque

I also think the poster has not read the whole thread, Jase can't send an ECU over to the US to test the map. An owner needs to send the ECU from their particular spyder to Jase so he can reprogram it and then have it sent back. I intend to get this done later in the year but at the moment I...

    2014 rss/2015 f3s

In terms of style it's light years ahead IMO. The moment the F3 was launched it just made the GS/RS/RSS look massively dated for me. In terms of riding I've not ridden a 990 but to summarise the discussion I've read on here: Potential advantages are more torque, more HP, lower centre of...

    ECU remap for more torque

I only have the F3 shop manual, but the engine ECM in question is under the left side panel as you look from the seat forward. Not sure on an RT but I would imagine the same place as the engine/gearbox is effectively the same. The transmission ECM is on the right side of the engine and is...

    ECU remap for more torque

Just seems iike too much trouble to try and have a spare. I'm definitely a taker for the remap though - probably go for this winter to send my ECU off for it's makeover.

    ECU remap for more torque

Cheers Jase. That clears it up. Just sounds easier to send you my ECU to be re-programmed than mess about than trying to obtain a spare one.

    F3 Custom exhausts

That looks like a good DIY job. Surprised you didn't get the exhaust shop to bypass the secondary CAT at the same time with one big pipe.
