• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Going From Stock Tires to (Non-OEM) Car Tires?

I think you're fronts are high and that will make the tires hard. I run 18-20 in the front to make them softer. I did try a higher pressure a couple of years ago and remember some of what you're describing - a sort of 'bobbling' at the front as the tires were bouncing a lot. Caused a lot of...

    F3 S R Shock Advice

The no.1 choice for aftermarket in Europe at the moment is Shock Factory: http://www.shock-factory.co.uk/m-shocks-home.html a British/French company. I'm hearing great things about them and intend fitting a full set in the future. Unfortunately I can't see that they sell into the US so would...

    F3 S R Shock Advice

I would agree on the '2 up' - good enough for everyday use as a single rider. Fox do make an upgraded adjustable rear but it is expensive - a UK listing as an example...

New F3 S in the Driveway!

If you already knew the above then no, they aren't adjustable using the BRP stuff. Roadster renovations make an adjustable brake rod kit that does let you adjust the angle. Not sure if there anything similar for the shifter. Edit - link: https://www.roadsterrenovations.info/for-the-f3 Looks...

New F3 S in the Driveway!

You need new rod linkages to move the footpegs. Here's a good price for a brake/shifter rod pack pos #1 on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Can-AM-Spyd...0AAOSwbgpapF4Q

    California testing electronic license plates

I remember something about this in relation to the Apple Car. It was around car sharing and the car being able to be 'transferred to your registration' while you were using it. Something like that.

RAM mount suggestions for a new F3-T owner

I went with this one, mounts using one of the bolts in the handlebar clamp: https://store.valueaccessories.net/SpyderRTRAMMountKit.aspx Select 'F3' and then 'with 3" arm and standard x-Grip' RAM is a modular mounting system all based around 1" balls on everything (mount to bike, holder for...

    Battery life

Similar on my F3, don't use a tender as I don't have a garage. Bike is 2014 MY, stood for 4 months Sep 17 - Jan 18 during a really bad winter (for here) and started first crack whenI came to ride it. And I have a tracker fitted. My last car was an interesting example of how modern batteries...

    F3 issues

Ah ok get you now, yeah if you wanted to re-use priginal shock you would need spring compressors. Most who have fitted this (me included) just swapped it as a whole unit. Might as well have a news shock as well as new spring seeing as they come as a package. Anyhow - a good upgrade for not...

    F3 issues

I thought the shock was different as well on the '2 Up' as it looked thicker, but I couldn't be sure. You don't need any specialist tools though as it comes as a pre-built shock and spring, just 2x13mm bolts top and bottom to change it and the kit has new nuts and bolts with it. I thought the...

    F3 issues

BRP does have a more affordable '2 Up' shock for the F3-S which will help with the bottoming. It won't stop it entirely but it is much better than the poor stock one (which they shouldn't really be putting on newly produced models). Part code is 219400739 - see this thread for details. Edit -...

Best way to adjust thumb shift lever on F3 SE-6

I've had a look in the service manual and can't see any adjustment mentioned at all. There is no exploded view of the left control block, the manual just say replace it if it's faulty - which is not really very useful. You would have to take it off and dismantle it to see if it can be...

Any easy way to install Throttle grip spring?

Nothing to fear, you only need to undo the bolts enough to be able to open it up enough to rotate it forward. You can leave one bolt in unscrewed almost all the way and it rotates easily. By rotate forward I mean clockwise as you look into the end of the grip. Nothing can come out of the...

Any easy way to install Throttle grip spring?

Solution 1 - you can't get the spring to go in: To fit the spring you have to align the hole in the grip that the pointed end of the spring goes into with the slot in the bar that the bent part of the spring goes into. Normally the hole in the grip is about 20-30 degrees rotated away from the...

    Cat Delete Replacement Pipe

Thanks for the update - useful info. I'm not intending removing the CAT myself but I do like the sound of the Monster Fuel Reflash so it's good to know emissions won't be an issue after the remap.
