• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sercurity? The best way lock the F3

I use a 'disclock' on the back wheel - abus 'Granit': Fits nicely through the slots between the rear disc and it's mounting bracket. I can take a picture if you're interested. Insurance in the UK often insists on a 'visible deterrent' to get theft cover. Not sure if these are widely used...

    MaptunerX

I was really excited about the MaptunerX after reading this thread ................... then I checked the price on line!! :yikes: Not so excited about it now. Back to my original intention to send ECU to Monster Fuel in Canada.

    Review: Custom Spyder Wheels

Really interesting and thanks for sharing. I had no idea these things were out there. My thoughts are: 1) That would be illegal in the UK as your tire now sticks out way beyond the wheel arch - it would fail our annual inspection. I have no idea what the rules are in the US? 2) The extra...

    F3-s tyre pressures

I would say the correct tire pressures are what works for you. I run the fronts harder than 18psi as it give more 'bite' from the front tires and improves turn in to corners. It also raises the ride height a few mm which helps with speed bumps and getting in and out of my drive. So...

    Toyo Proxes question

Interesting, did they clear the 2014 fenders without any issues? I've considered for the front but the extra size in diameter and width had me concerned about rubbing:

tire age - is 4 years old a concern?

The Kenda on my F3 from new was about 5 years old when I recently changed it and the rubber had gone very hard and 'plasticky'. Some of that is of course from UV and weathering, which a stored new tire isn't subjected to. But if I was getting 10 years out a tire like you did I would want one...

F3 BajaRon sway bar vs SpiderExtras Performance sway bar

Thanks for the feedback - you're the first review I've read from someone who's had stock F3 bar / RT Bar / and now full upgrade bar. Interesting to read what you thought.

    Which F3's have Sport Mode?

Yeah, F3-S only from 2017 MY I think.

F3 BajaRon sway bar vs SpiderExtras Performance sway bar

Got to say the same about the RT bar as said above - got one on mine and it's great. Improved handling a lot and it was free (from an owner on here) with the matching blocks. I can't imagine drilling out the smaller F3 blocks was a good idea :lecturef_smilie: As for the drop links I left the...

High pitched whine at 45 mph

I know it's bad form to reply to your own reply but I thought I'd add that the Advan Fleva V701 is now available in the US and replacing the S-Drive. Thanks to JCThorne for that in another thread on tires..

    Rear Tire Recommendations

Ah, well I can recommend it. Excellent wet and dry grip. It only comes with 8mm of tread as opposed to the 10mm the S-Drive had. I don't have much of an idea of wear rate as yet, but I did a 1300 mile tour (mostly fast twisty miles) straight after fitment and it's looking much the same...

High pitched whine at 45 mph

Sorry - stock Kenda from new so around 5 years old (DOT was July 2014) changed to Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 205/55/15: https://www.y-yokohama.com/release/?id=2571&lang=en. Not sure if this will ever be available in the US, the S-Drive AS01 that I'd read about on here was discontinued in Europe...

    Rear Tire Recommendations

I've just fitted a Yokohama to mine, 205/55/15, and the size difference is not an issue. It's the same diameter and about 10mm narrower. It's the newer model than the S-Drive AS01, Advan Fleva V701, as the S-Drive has been discontinued in Europe. Not sure if it will ever be available in the...

High pitched whine at 45 mph

I can only say that mine has had the whine for the last 3.5 years but changing the rear tire stopped it completely but not intentionally. I had always just accepted the whine but now it's totally gone. As I said earlier I changed the tire without altering any of the belt or axle tensioners...

Any videos on Shad bag mounting?

Straightforward job but you need a step drill to enlarge 2 holes in a plastic trim part.

Suggestion: Swapping windshield for Daytona F3

Oh and I forgot to answer your swapping back and forth quesiton. The Blue Ridge (and the Route 192 smaller screen from BRP) both fit in the same way as the gauge spoiler. It is a bit fiddly where the nose block fits but once you've had it on and off a couple of times it's a 5 minute job. Just...

Suggestion: Swapping windshield for Daytona F3

The official BRP screens are the only ones I would use as the others I've seen (and of course there may be ones out there I haven't seen) just look like aftermarket add-ons to me. No offence to any of the manufacturers but only the BRP ones have that 'OEM' look and seem like they came with the...

    You! Your EXPERTISE IS REQUIRED...PLEASE! 2018 F3-S

The Shad bag mounts are only available through BRP, not from Shad or their dealers. That's maybe why you got that answer if they are a Shad dealer but not a BRP/Powersports dealer. You can buy the SH36s separately but the BRP kit has matching reflectors included. I'll put in another vote for...

High pitched whine at 45 mph

My belt has always been right up to the inner flange on the rear sprocket and it went straight back there after the tire change with no input from me. I've never checked the front socket alignment - only a quick look for the red rust but all clear for that. Mine was definitely a whine and it...

High pitched whine at 45 mph

The one rattlebars posted is the one but he does skip a bit when he's removing the shaft. There's a cut and then he's pulling the shaft out I think.
