• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Which 'tow behind the Spyder' trailer?

I have had a number of trailers for towing with our spyders. We both have Rtls I have settled on a Lee-sure lite for our touring the last 2 years, at 325 pounds it tows like a dream. We also have a 42 foot fifth wheel that has mostly been parked for the last two years. In 2019 we road Coast to...

So, what do y'all consider "touring"?

To me it means a several day ride to several destination points. My wife and I both have RTLs and I pull a pop up tent trailer and she pulls a cargo trailer. In 2019 we rode Hwy. 20 from Newport Oregon to Boston and returned to Oregon and much longer route consisting of 11,000 miles, 66 days, 26...

After advice from couples that ride separate bikes.

My wife and I have had separate Spyders for the last 7 years and have done many long trips lasting months and we day ride often. I usually follow her until we get into towns and then she follows as I am better at navigating and making detours if needed. I feel more comfortable with her in the...

Finally pulled the trigger on F3 - can I pull the same trailer my GW pulled??

The reply about the tongue of the trailer taking a beating is correct. Both my wife and I pull trailers with our RTLs first with the 998s and now we have 2021s. I used to have a Aspen classic pop up that weighed 460 with all our gear and we never had problems towing or stopping. I have changed...

Out of the...

Mini Mate Momentum Trailer - your experiences? Feedback?

several years ago a group of Spyders made the journey to Alaska, we were slated to go but my work got in the way and now that I am retired we are going next summer. I will make sure that we have the missing belt guards installed and if the roads are muddy due to rain we will just camp until the...

HowTo: 100 watt solar on Lees-ure Lite trailer

Looks like a great set up Pete. We bought a used Lee-sure Lite this year and sold our Aspen as I have always wanted a Lee-sure lite. I purchased a Lion Energy solar generator and kit for my wife's CPAP, but since she has to run the humidifier it only last about 6 hours before running out. She...

    How old are you?

Made it to 70 this year, my bride and I celebrated 47 years this year. she has been my anchor all these years and I do not want to contemplate life without her. She loves to ride as much as I do and that makes me a lucky man.

Mini Mate Momentum Trailer - your experiences? Feedback?

My wife and I are Lee-sure Lite fans. I have had several cargo and tent trailers and like the LL the best of all. I pull the LL and my wife pulls a cargo trailer but if I was traveling alone the LL has plenty of cargo space, especially for one person. I also carry a Solar panel and charge a...

Pay it Forward 2021 RTL bars

Last week I had a fellow member on here gave my wife a set of F3 bars off his bike as he had replaced them with a set of bars he received from another member as he said he had Orangutan arms and the original bars on his F3 were to close. My wife and I just traded our 2015s RTLs in for some 2021s...

2021 RTL - will first gen F3 bars bring them closer to rider?

Like I said in some previous post, the War department and I traded out old RTLs in on some shiny new 2021 red RTLs, I can reach the handle bars fine and everything else fits me comfortable but the War department is only 5'3" and the reach to the bars are to far for her, she had the TriAxis bars...

    Travel covers

Well the War department and I pulled the Triger on trading the 2014 and 2015 RTLs in and brought home two New 2021 RTLs I asked yesterday about the seats exchanging and the hitches and appreciate all the quick responses and incites. We were able to work a deal on new hitches and someone that...

    Will they fit

We are looking at getting 2 new 2021 RTLs, my question is will our Corbin seats that we have on our 2014 and 2015 RTLs fit on the 2021 RTLs, and will our BRP trailer hitches fit on the 2021s ?

    teardrop camper

I beg to differ, it's not a contest, I was just expressing my opinion about towing a trailer through my many miles of ACTUAL experience and not just theories. Another point I would like to input is if electric brakes were needed on ALL trailers pulled by a Spyder I think that BRP would have had...
