• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Pickups trucks,

The choice of an all aluminum body saves considerable weight which will enhance fuel economy. This concept is not new My old 06 F 150 had an aluminum hood. To dump a load of bricks from a bobcat into an unprotected bed is just stupid. Like I posted earlier the new EcoBoost with the 10speed will...

First portable computer ad....what a hoot!

There was one of those floating around the office for awhile, nobody wanted to take it home. We were all getting desk computers, had to work in dos. When the first version of "Windows" came out we were all blown away by it. Looked forward to every new version, except 10. Once I figured out the...

    Change compressor

To my knowledge there is no pressure sensing device in /on the air bag system. There is a position sensor connected between the swing arm and the frame. when you move the adjustment switch as seen on the instrument cluster it adds or subtracts a small amount from the neutral ride position. Add a...

    Pickups trucks,

A lot of info on trucks for you, we all have our preferences. Mileage changes greatly when towing, there are many variables. In our area of the country, used 4 x 4 are hot sellers, 4 x 2's not so much. BTW the Ford F-150 with the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost makes for a great TV, Great mileage empty or...

    Change compressor

It is regulated by ride height and stiffness setting (by your input) through the computer. Why don't you hook the Schrader valve directly to the top of the bag, input your favorite pressure and be happy. Oh, be sure to disconnect the electric to the compressor.

Toy Hauler for 2 Spyders - Any Suggestions?

There is no easy answer to your question. Each manufacturer each model has there own unique characteristics. With mine fully loaded (about 1000 lbs of Spyder and gear in the garage) and a 1/3 tank of fresh water it weighs 9600 lbs with a tongue weight of 1300 lbs or 13.5%, about what it should...

Toy Hauler for 2 Spyders - Any Suggestions?

Toy haulers are designed for weight in the garage to balance the load. Without stuff in the garage they are tong heavy. The weight of a Spyder is about the same as a heavy 2 wheeler. 1800 lbs would not be an issue.

what pressure for the air shock in a rt

Bob is correct in that the air suspension is position based on the Limited. If you need to raise the rear a bit, with the key off add air to the schrader valve and the bike will come up. When finished with the maintenance just ride the bike and it will reposition itself. The beauty of a...

What kind of Trailer do you use to carry your Spyder?

You need to consider the conditions you intend to tow through. An open trailer through rain will require a lot of cleaning. Towing through salt laden roads :yikes:, no comment.

    Which Toy Hauler

We chose a Forest River Vengeance 29V. It is working out great for us. Replaced the dinenet with a powered loveseat for greater comfort. Heading to Florida this winter for an extended stay. The Spyder is a tight fit front to back but plenty of width for easy loading and unloading. New cost...

    fuel cap stuck

A couple of years ago mine went bad, stuck at fuel pump in Disney World, for 45 minutes, finely came off. Got a BRP replacement and everything has been fine since. I am looking at these as a wear item to be replaced every 3 or 4 years. :dontknow:

    Compressor Woes...

The suspension system is position based. it uses position(s) readings off of the position sensor and matches the position selected with the position switch. This is a complicated computer thing and any wear in the position sensor linkage or abnormalities in the position sensor itself may cause...

    Air Ride Suspension Problem

There have been many posts lately on issues with the Air Suspension, including the one I started. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?93333-Air-Pump-Replacement-(HELP) I replaced my defective pump with an aftermarket pump, (out of warranty, out of pocket). The other day I was...

St Ignace One of my all time favorite eateries is the Driftwood Motel in St Ignace MI, Try the Planked Whitefish. No, it does not have a fancy name nor come with a high price tag, just good food.:firstplace: As previously mentioned in the lower peninsula... There is Legs Inn (Cross Village)...

Why does it take so long for a shop to do a basic clutch job.

I work :roflblack: just down the street from an established dealer and every morning they wheel out 20 to 30 units to be serviced, and at the end of the day they are wheeled back in the service area, + the units picked-up and droped off. This happens winter and summer rain or shine. This time of...
