• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Slingshot on the road.

Saw a Slingshot on the road today...heading south on U.S. 1 near Cocoa. It was in company with someone on a regular two wheeler. I was in my car... To me it just seems too exposed, which is weird considering we ride Spyders. Neither of the riders in the SS were wearing helmets, which may be...

GUN CONTROL,,, lets see if we can discuss this w/o me pulling the post

I have no problem with gun ownership, but this thought crossed my mind the other day... I lived in New Orleans when I was in junior high and high school. New Orleans then had a thriving organized crime operation...even though old J. Edgar said there was no organized crime in the U.S. But...

    Survived childhood

That's kind of a truism, really. I remember going to school in the '50s and '60s and there were plenty of kids that were just as bad as some kids are now. I especially remember a kid I went to junior high school in New Orleans with who ended up killing his mom with a shotgun when we were in...

    world rechord moose shot

I do not hunt but don't have any problems with others hunting...as long as they use the meat. At first I thought the moose was gut shot, too, but can see now what others have said about the arrow going forward into the vitals. As for sporting...I always thought the idea of bow hunting was to...

    Why the dislike?

I rarely get negative comments. But I just figure most of the negative commenters are just posers. It's their problem, not mine. I'm (almost) 65...I doubt many of these so-called riders will still be riding when they hit that age.

    New 2016 RT's are here.

I'd like to see what the blue one looks like. And I'd never buy a motorcycle of any kind without being able to test ride it. Period.

    F3 and BRP

I like the way the F3 looks and rides...but it simply doesn't have enough storage for me. I've seen quite a few of them around here lately, though.

    Shoei vs HJC Helmets

I wear Shoei because they fit me so well (and HJC's absolutely do not) and because they're also Snell rated. And I can afford them. I buy the best helmet I can afford that fits me correctly. 35 years ago I was wearing a Simpson helmet that cost me $175. People thought I was crazy...until I...

Anyone seen this around your area yet?

The motorcycle police in my area (county and city) all wear short sleeve shirts but most have gloves. I haven't seen a police Spyder around here, yet, but with the growing number of Spyders in our area I wouldn't be surprised if they have them soon. I'd think they'd use them primarily for...
