• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Spyder or the bike. I don't name inanimate objects.

Third break light, yes or no

I had the CD brake light put on my RT over three years ago and it works perfectly. IMHO it's one of the "must" add-ons.

    Acknowledging Other Riders

I've been waving since the early '70s. We waved then to acknowledge another rider. I never heard of this "two wheels" stuff until the 2000s. And I still wave (when it's safe) to acknowledge other riders. Some wave back, some don't, just like they have the last 40 plus years. :riding:

    DirecTV vs Dish

We've had both and much prefer Directv. I just hope AT&T doesn't screw them up.

This is what you DON'T do at the dragon!!!

He either did not know how to...or forgot how to...counter steer. I've ridden Triumphs exactly like that one. They're very neutral riding bikes that are forgiving and a dream to ride. Anyway, both hands on the bars and counter steering when he ran out of lean would have worked wonders...

Sitting on a Spyder without asking? Anyone have this problem?

Honestly...I put one of Lamont's "Don't Mess With My Spyder" stickers over my safety placard and have never had a problem. Twice I've had other bikers ask if they could sit on it and I allowed them to. Have not had anyone ask if their kid could.

    Update on my ankle

Well, I had successful surgery on my ankle the end of May to fix the initial repair that came apart. It seems to be working...everything is stable and the bone graft is setting in place. Still won't be able to put weight on it until late August but there's a decent chance I may be able to start...

    I love my Spyder!!!!

I've had mine for almost five years now and have never regretted it. Neither has my wife! Hopefully my broken/dislocated ankle will be healed enough in another month and a half or so so I can start riding again!

WELL I HAD A FIRST YESTERDAY MORNING

Never hit a bird while riding but did get hit in the chest by a large bat while riding my RD400 in the Philippines in the late '70s. Ended up with a large bruise on my chest but the bat didn't make it home.
