• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Frunk release button?

Does anyone use this button? I can't figure out how it's supposed to work for the life of me. It won't work when the engine is running. It won't work after I shut off the engine unless I wait some unknown amount of time, and even then I can't get it to work reliably. I've given up on using it...

    Time to cut the tupperware.

Wow. This looks like it might be the way to go. Thanks for the picture.

    Time to cut the tupperware.

Interesting stuff. Perhaps I should just add the lower block off plate without cutting the holes first? Has anyone had success with this? In my mind, it seems that if I'm restricting airflow from one area it needs to be vented in another, but maybe the upper hole is large enough to accommodate...

    Time to cut the tupperware.

So I have to do SOMETHING to relieve the right foot heat. I have a 2013 RT and I bought the lower block off plate from Spyderpops, but before I put it on and restrict the airflow I want to try cutting vent holes in the plastic directly behind the radiator fan. If that doesn't help then I'll add...

2013-9 ECM Update: 2013 RT Test Results & Data.

I just checked my service invoice, the ECM update was definitely done. Duh, I missed it when I looked over it earlier. Too wrapped up in numbers to notice. Anyway, the invoice says: Job: 2013-9 Fuse Boxes, ECM Software, Belt Guard (Warranty Job) Description PLEASE COMPLETE FACTORY RECALL...

2013-9 ECM Update: 2013 RT Test Results & Data.

Yes, I was measuring the right boot. No matter where I place my foot on the floorboard I feel the heat from the radiator. As for wind, there wasn't any difference between the first trip and the second one. Also, regarding the boot temps... have a look at this chart. Does this seem safe to you...

2013-9 ECM Update: 2013 RT Test Results & Data.

I called the dealership a week ago and made sure that we were both looking at the same update before I made the trip. When I inquired about the update being done in California I was told it wouldn't be a problem. I even took the time to speak with the technician today about all of the issues I...

    What gas do you use?

Always go with the safety and instruction stickers that are actually on the vehicle. Those are regulated, inspected and required by state and in some cases federal government and must be accurate, whereas manuals are not under the same scrutiny and can sometimes have typos and errors as a result.

Nanotips Turn Your Glove into a smart glove

This stuff does not work very well at all. I tried it on several pairs of gloves and it didn't work with my iPhones.

So...who let that smelly mutt in?

The following is my opinion based off my experience and research. The pros: -Fun to ride. -Easy to ride and comfortable. -Lots of options; cruise control, storage space, good sound... it's all great. -Lots of compliments and questions. -SAFETY - the Spyder mitigates minor road hazards like...

    Parts flying off... WHAT?!?

Finally got some good news. BRP is going to replace the side panel that came off. Just waiting for it to arrive at the dealer. I'm gonna zip-tie, velcro, and use the wire lanyards on these panels when I get the new one in for sure.

I have 1500 miles on it, an just did the 600 miles service a month ago. The oil is synthetic and was at the proper level last time I checked.

    Shifting to 1st gear...

When I shift my 2013 RT SE5 into first gear, it makes a LOUD clunk noise, and the bike jerks slightly even with my foot firmly on the brake. It shifts up and down while on the move without any issues, but getting it into 1st gear feels weird. Also, I sometimes have to press the "+" shifter...

Caught in the act! (with pic)

SO... here we go... YET AGAIN. Last week I took my Spyder to a dealer to have them tighten the bolts on my BajaRon sway bar to get rid of loud clunking noises when I turn, to the tune of $42. Well yesterday the clunking came back. I put the Spyder up on a ramp so I could get underneath and see...
