• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SPYD3R: I swapped the fenders for white ones, it already had the upgraded wheels and the windshield when I bought it.

    F3 Oil Change Questions

Has anyone done their own F3 SE6 oil change yet? I have a few questions: 1) How much oil spills onto the engine when removing the filter cover? (Is it a big mess like the smaller filter on the 990 SE5?) 2) Are the two drain bolts the same thread pitches as the two drain bolts on the 990? Any...

    F3 Fender Swap

Bob, it's a 1972 Suzuki RV90J Rover. It's my baby, and I'm going to be buried with it. Tom, don't feel bad, I have a sickness. When I work on bikes I wear a white lab coat and surgeon's gloves. My customer's bikes usually leave my workshop cleaner than when they arrived. Sheldon Cooper's disease.

    F3 Fender Swap

I don't like the fenders that came on my new F3, and I saw that Len at Pitbull has a demo bike with swapped fenders, so I'm swapping them, too. If you've considered doing this with yours, the photo shows on the right the stock black fender, and on the left, the new body-matching white fender...

    Trunk opening question

Page 28 of the F3 Operator's Guide says "NOTE: It is possible to open the front storage compartment with the engine running." This must be a typo, right? It would be handy to be able to do this, but I don't see how.

    Co-share Spyder experience?

UPDATE - No need to co-share, because I spent the day yesterday at two dealers, and BROUGHT HOME A NEW F3 SE6 !! Got a white base model, with upgraded wheels, a windshield and laser-alignment. The ride home was 150 miles in perfect weather. It was tempting to experiment, but not until after the...

    Co-share Spyder experience?

UPDATE - Looks like I am on my own to get an F3. Let the negotiations begin! Tom from NM: One of the VStar 950's will be sold and should cover one-third of the F3 cost. The other VStar is my wife's, so it's off-limits. The 1972 Rover I'm going to be buried with. Thank you for the kind words...

    Co-share Spyder experience?

Yea, I've been away, had to sell the RS a few years ago, it was killing my back, but three recent long test rides on F3's and no problems! I still work on customer's Spyders in my spare time to get the occasional fix.

    Co-share Spyder experience?

Do any of you have actual experience co-owning a Spyder? A good friend and I want to get a new F3, we can each afford half. People do this with planes, cars and boats, why not a Spyder? We'd draw up a contract that spells out responsibilities in advance. Thoughts?

    Spyder F3 demo rides

I took advantage of the F3 demo ride last week. I was very impressed. The seating position, handling, engine power and smoothness...all terrific! I like that it uses the RS-spec instrument panel, meaning all analog, so it's not washed out by my polarized sunglasses, as the RT LCD panel is. My...
