• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

While ryding about 116 myles today, Nanny started visually whining something about Low Brake Fluid, so when I got home I took off my leather jacket (dang! it warmed up to 72F) and gave her about 6-8 eyedropper sips of Dot 4 to shut her up. Maybe she'll thank me on tomorrow's ryde? :dontknow:

    We did it last weekend

If you're Belleville, you might be closer to some dealers in Missouri.

Returing to riding after many years away

Age 73, huh? Hmmmmmm... I was 73 when I bought my new 2012 Spyder and took the MSF 2-wheeler course to get my Texas Class MC license. I had not ridden 2 wheelers since about age 16. Now I'm 80 and today my 2015 Spyder rolled up 77,000 miles while I was on my 118-mile joy-ride for the...

You gotta be kidding me.....chk your lug nuts yourself

Incomplete work on a job often occurs when more than one person is doing the job... just because the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Sometimes each one thinks the other did a task, but no one actually did. So, if you can observe the work as it's being done, be extra...

    clutch-less shift

I used to enjoy doing this all over town at low speeds in my '65 Impala SuperSport 4-speed. I drove that car 60,000 miles without ever hurting the transmission or clutch. :doorag:

Motorcycle accidents - Why we're not always seen

RICZ said, " I tend to agree with this, it probably is the highest percentage correct. Here's why: it is the natural way that our brains are wired, and that is "for survival of the species." For millions of years we didn't even have motorized transportation, and our natural instincts have...

RpmOne aftermarket extended warranty - any experience?

I bought RPM when purchasing my NEW 2015. I've used it around 3 times, once for a high expense repair and once for a mickey-mouse $18 repair (frunk gasket separated). I had NO (deductible) cost; and the dealer files the claim directly (no work for me). The BEST thing I liked about it is the...

    Tires

At almost 5,000 miles now, I sure do like mine. Running @ 15psi. Handling is better, and it tracks straighter down the road than the Kendas did.

    Heat kills battery!

I had to replace my OEM battery yesterday after just over 4 years (but I ryde almost daily). The techie says I got top life out of it; that's the most they're good for (sez he). It's been cranking over kinda weakly for the last couple months now, but the new one spins it good. And we've had...

Hmmm... in today's anti-gun climate, can you even get a water pistol anymore? :dontknow:

Hot 2015 RT will not start.

That works great but don't try it for excessively long periods... I'd say 20 minutes max. I used to do that to stop and play music while resting in the shade with a drink, and one time I pulled the battery down too much and had to flag down someone with jumper cables. I still do that, but I've...

    Midnight ride

Yeah, that changed a few weeks ago. I noticed it in my signature.

    Battery life?

I've had mine four years this week and the battery is still quite strong. I occasionally forget to turn the key off, but it charges right back up OK. Very hot climate here, too, but I'm parked in carport shade most of the time. But as I've just rolled up 72,000 miles, it's not parked in the...

    Spyders proliferating......It's good

With a little bit more analytical logic (brag, brag!) I think I can explain why they're in the passing lane... Look at the name of the photograph itself: AMLegionCentenialRidePromo.jpg Promo, see! Where was the photographer? On an overpass, obviously. Why? Because the whole beautiful scene was...

    Spyders proliferating......It's good

A flipped image like Peter says was my first thought, too. But the yellow line is what made me dismiss that idea. Of course not, but... Same in Texas, where 281 is 4-lane divided highway in many places, as shown in the picture.

    Spyders proliferating......It's good

I live just off of US 281 about a dozen miles north of Pharr (where my Can Am Dealer is located!). Do the Legion riders always cruise in the wrong lane? :dontknow: Oh Wait! On second glance, I see that they're passing a shipment of air guitars!

    Inspection sticker

Ditto with Texas. No Stickers. Just show the inspector your current insurance card. Inspection and valid insurance then gets entered into state database, and online registration renewal is a snap.

    Vredstein Tires

After 1100+ miles with my new ones on the front, I must agree they give greater control. And a softer ride to boot (at 15psi). Plus it now tracks straight down the road instead of the old slight pull to the right... which I think was caused by a defective Kenda; it wore heavily on the inside...

    Has Miliage

I record mine 3 tanks at a time. When I was at ~5k miles, I was getting 34.0 to 36.5 mpg (nine tanks in a row). Now, at 71k+ miles, the last nine tanks ranged from 36.9 to 38.1 mpg. YMMV!
