• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BRP a front for AARP?

I'll be 68 this year I didn't start riding again until I was 62, on 2 wheels then. I can attest after attending KC Spyder Riders meetings that many are older than me and only a few are younger.

Installing Ram ball mount on center bolt

Thanks for all the responses! I bought a T handle wrench in the 7 mm size, but don't have the strength to break it free. I have connected with the KC Spyder Riders club and will see if someone with better tools is able to assist me. Until then my phone will ride in the top case where I can hear...

Installing Ram ball mount on center bolt

I bought a ram ball mount and bracket from Value Accessories. I had to buy a special set of allen wrenches as every set that I had missed out the 7 mm wrench. Why do they do that?! Now that I have the correct wrench for the bolt, it will not budge! Does it take an impact wrench to break it free?

    Going Blind....not really

I had a special pair of glasses made. One lens is clear for my distance vision and the other is 2.0 reader strength. Your brain will adjust and use whichever it needs. It takes a little getting used to but doesn't take too long.

    New Spyder owner!

Just picked up my 2013 Spyder RT SE5 yesterday. It's definitely a change from my Burgman, but I'm starting to get used to it. With almost 30 miles ridden I still catch myself reaching for that brake lever, but less and less as time goes on. Now to get it registered and pick up a few mods to...

    New Spyderlover looking for advice

They do have one 2015 F3 S automatic for $14,999. I'll keep them in mind. A local KC dealer has a similar model in manual for $1000 less. I'll probably start there and see how it is. I'm not totally against a manual, but this Burgman automatic sure has spoiled me! The free shipping would not...

    New Spyderlover looking for advice

If I buy from a Kansas dealer, I can include the Sales tax in any loan I take out. If I purchase from an individual or an out of state dealer, then my County DMV will require me to pay the tax when I register. I suppose I could withhold enough of my down payment to cover the tax if I buy out of...

Thanks for all the input. I have checked Cycle Trader and not found much in my area. I might add that The 2012 RT blue books for $14,100 and it is an automatic which I would prefer. There are two later model Spyders on the Missouri side, but both are manual. I will probably take a look at them...

    New Spyderlover looking for advice

Hello all! I'm desiring to purchase a Spryder. I currently ride a Suzuki Burgman 400 and while I like it, I'm starting to consider a Spyder to keep me safe. I'm 67 and starting to feel uncertain when at stops and in slow turns. I do plan to be riding for many years yet, but want to be safe...
