• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Great Ride Today!!!

Hey! Great stuff, glad you're getting out! I've been riding in 10 below freezing here the last couple weeks, but today it popped up to just above the freezing mark. My ride back from the office today was even long the usual ;). Thanks for sharing! Cheers from Frosty Newfoundland!

    2012 Frozen Nuts Contest

I ride everyday in Newfoundland (except for when there is too much snow/ice on the roads), and never beyond my comfort level. While this is not the coldest I've rode, here is a shot from my 'long way around' to the grocery store for some fresh fixing for dinner yesterday morning: However, I...

    2012 Frozen Nuts Contest

Hey guys. Neat thread, but yep, have to be careful out there everyone! Even if there is no snow on the roads in freezing temperatures we'll all have to watch for black ice and other slippery sections that can creep up on you. If you ride in these types of conditions, you do so at your own...

    anyone still riding ??

To add..., the extra time for cleaning, care and replacement of parts year-round riding takes involves, it is still worth it ;). imho.

    anyone still riding ??

Ryding everyday, including through the winter here, I've noticed the sand and salt on the roads in these parts get into the smallest of places and wear things quicker. Even with my religion weekly wash down and rust-check application I've had parts wear quicker - rear sprocket and belt, brake...

    anyone still riding ??

Hey Seth! When the temps drop low like this here, all the slush and snow turns to hard and slick from our damp air. Sounds like you can ride in powder - cool! :).

    anyone still riding ??

I ride everyday. Unless there is a snow storm or the roads have 4-5 inches of the white stuff, I ride my Spyder. Weather here has been up and down and all over the place. Flurries one day with sub zero temperatures, rain the next and 9C. Coldest we've gotten that I've ridden in this year, so...

DPS failed, new DPS installed, 1:55 error code (whatever that is), overheating, etc.

Welcome to the forum. Agreed - the new DPS either has a fault in it and another one is required, or the installation by the Dealer was off from what BRP instructs the Dealers to do with the new DPS. Back to the Dealer to be sure they make things right. Maybe a good idea to pop down to their...

RS vs RSS -- your thoughts on which way I should go???

RS vs RSS - they are both awesome - can't go wrong - but get a BRP Warranty. Cheers.:thumbup:

    Who or what inspired you

For me, it wasn't one particular event or moment that drew me into ryding a spyder (or a motorcycle for that matter). It was a culmination of a number of things that made me want to ryde. The Spyder, for me, is the best to machine to achieve that goal - a machine that has good cargo space, can...
