• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hour Meter stopped - 1070.9 Hours

Lamont: I can't seem to find reference to the Hour Meter being fixed or an update released for it? The hour meter not being fixed I can live with. Currently I am at 55,000km, so I have a ways to go before the km hit 100,00km when they are supposed to roll over. So, I am confused: 1. Was the...

Interesting... thanks for the note. The km are still counting, as my work order from the local dealer shows the update was done. I will talk with them on this. Thanks

Hour Meter stopped - 1070.9 Hours

Thanks for the notes guys, but this has been seen before by other high hour SPyder Ryders, like Doc for example: This is not first to the Spyder (but a first for me). http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?19870-Engine-Hour-Meter-Quit&highlight=1070.9...

Hour Meter stopped - 1070.9 Hours

Hey guys! Noticed my Hour meter just stuck at 1070.9 Hours, it has stopped counting. As far as I have read, the hour are stored in the ECU and the miles are in the Cluster. So, what is the fix for this hour meter? Thanks!

    Rear Tire

I've also gone with the stock tire, never had any problems, but I hear the stock tires wears a little quicker then others. But its a resonable price, I think. Cheers.

    Front Tire Tribulations

Hey guys. Ron: Basically the dealer agreed it was very odd, but still no warranty and no views on how it happened. Yep, glad it was noticed before something bad happened. Cyncy: Yes, stock tire Cotton: Thanks for the notes, still no idea what really happened, just happy to have new tires...

    Front Tire Tribulations

Appreciate the replies, guys! Those cracks are basically in one area, there was about 8-10 or them in the span of about 8 inches only on one side, on one of the front tires. No, it was rubbed up against anything and no, I don't think any animals got at it, haha. Definitely strange, indeed! I...

    Front Tire Tribulations

Hey guys! So, I went out on an errand run the other day (a 150km run for milk and bread :) ). The steering felt a little washy and needed more force in the turns. I pulled over for a closer look. The tire treads were fine, no nails, so I looked further to the side wall where I noticed some...

    Anti Freeze Leak

:agree: And as Doc mentioned - it could be a crack in the coolant tank. I had a crack in mine, ended up getting 250km on it (close to home) waiting for the new tank to come in. Indeed, take the panels off if you can. If you can't, look up under the tank from just above the radiator for drips...

Sounds like a nice long ride, good stuff! 5C, that's pretty good. I don't expect to see temps like that here for a little while yet. Until then, my grip heaters will be on! Haha. Cheers.

    Winter Riding

I have had excellent experence with FirstGear and Tourmaster for durability, waterproof and wind protection. My gear is all water/wind proof to start, including my boots and gloves, but I also carry a two piece rainsuit as a back up and an extra layer. For the cold, it is all about layers, heated...
