• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Accessory install complete!

Got my Lamonster fog lights installed. Had more problems getting the plastic back on than installing the lights. The real pain was the trailer wiring harness. I bought it off Ebay and it came with no directions what so ever. I figured out the wiring part no problem, the pain was the trailer...

    Must Have Tools for F3

Poster child for breakdowns I have owned quite a few POS vehicles in my lifetime and even the ones that weren't sometimes had issues. Just last Fall while on a trip from Tennessee to Florida, the turbo hose on my truck blew off. This happened on a Saturday just after 1:00 PM when all the...

    Must Have Tools for F3

Fear Mongering? I don't see it. I'm just that McGyver type guy that can fix something in 5-10 minutes as opposed to using my cell phone to inconvenience one of my friends by saying "Hey I'm in the middle of BFE and really need to you stop doing whatever you're doing and drive 150 miles to come...

    Must Have Tools for F3

The Kitchen Sink! My friends have faulted me for this but when it came down to one of them breaking down one day while on a ride they never said another word. I carry a vast assortment of tools. Most of them are the smallest version I can find. I have one of the Kobalt Torx Bit sets that is...

    My first Mod amended!

Well one of the first mods I made on my Spyder was improving the turn signal indicator or as we here in the South call em, blinkers. It was difficult for me to tell when they were on so I bought a couple of 1/2" LED's and drilled holes for them in the mirror housings and wired them into the turn...

    Redneck Engineering at Work!

A little interference Where I mounted it prevents me from tilting the windshield back but that is OK with me. Its is a mount for my GPS. Used to be for a camera. My camera mount has yet to find a home after I removed it for the windshield.

    Redneck Engineering at Work!

OK, here goes. This was an old Panasonic camera mount which actually had a camera on it when I got it. It was one of those old black & white cameras about the size of two packs of smokes.I removed the camera, it had a mount similar to the one on a tripod. I took my existing GPS mount and...

    Redneck Engineering at Work!

Here is the mount for my 7" GPS. It used to be the mount for a security camera. Boss told me to throw it away when we upgraded the cameras a few years ago. Something told me it would come in handy some day. When I put my windshield on the other day it hit me, "Here is a good place to mount it...

    Pain in the @#$%

Recap Addressing the matter of blue locktite, none was found. Not blue, that super duper yellow, or any other color. I just think someone got carried away and used German torque on it "Goodentite". My day started out as any other so that was not an issue. I think had it been a little warmer...

    Pain in the @#$%

Here is what's sad I actually have a two shops. One at home and the other where I do small engine/motorcycle work that is heated and cooled. Just didn't think that I would run into this much of an issue with this and didn't want to drive 5 miles to the other shop. Yes, sometimes I'm lazy.

    Pain in the @#$%

Well today I received my Can Am belt tensioner and thought I would throw it on. While following the directions to the letter I attempted to remove the side covers. While attempting to remove the larger of the two I was taking out the torx screws and one of them would not come out. It just kept...

    Took the Plunge!

Well, I said "Here goes nothing" and proceeded to jump head first into the Farkle pond. Ordered a factory driver backrest which should be in later today and also got the Madstad 26" light grey windshield for my F3 Limited. I went on a ride both Friday and Saturday and noticed the buffeting I was...
