• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tally Thread: I purchased a new 2020 RT.

I just traded my 2014 RT Limited for a 2020 RT Limited in chalk white. I'll pick it up Thursday. My motive (other than basic lust) for upgrading is the MUCH more comfortable sitting position made possible by the improved running boards, deeper seat. I ordered mine with the heated seat...

    2020 rt misinformation

I had a similar experience with my dealer, but fortunately they are only 30 minutes away. I rode out to look at a 2020 early last month, and the dealer showed me a brand new 2019. He wasn't convinced when I told him it was not a 2020. Dealers, know your product, know your inventory, don't set...

    Heated seat (button)

If you look for “Rocker Switch” on Amazon there are many choices that will fit. Most are black and backlit, and most have some label. These will fit in the front switch panel, although you’ll have to expand the existing round hole to a larger rectangular one. Not difficult. Wiring to the...

    Heated seat (button)

Yes, you can install them on the center plate between all the other switches, but digging down to that panel requires a whole of tupperware surgery. Not impossible (I installed USB ports there), but tedious. Definitely use a relay. You could also dig into the tupperware panel that just...

    Cramped seating for driver?

Is the "Comfort Seat" the one that comes stock on the RT Limited? If so, I have one (barely used) I'd love to sell. It's off my 2014 and barely used.

    Seat/backrest/passenger armrest selection advice needed

I agree with the fuel door option - I know both Corbin and Ultimate offer one. Much easier than lifting the seat, particularly if you’ve got luggage on it.

    Seat/backrest/passenger armrest selection advice needed

I love my tallboy Ultimate seat - I'm not tall but very stiff and the extra 1.5" makes a huge difference. My wife is 5'6" and says she has plenty of room (I also installed the Ultimate passenger backrest which gives her an extra inch or so). Also used the Ultimate passenger armrests, she likes...

    New Spyder Lineup 2020

They've eliminated the deep rear storage, but looks like they've substituted it for wide storage. They claim it will hold two helmets side by side, and the current trunk won't hold even 1 (unless it's a brain-bucket). This is the layout that Harley's and most other touring bikes offer.

Premature questionization about the 2020 RT

I'm aware it's too early for anyone to know this yet (except BRP), but I'm intensely interested in the 2020 RT and trying to figure it out before it is available. If I'm understanding the description properly, it sounds as though the linkage between the cell phone and the navigation system is...

Seat recommendation for a 2018 Spyder RT Limited

I LOVE the Ultimate Seats tallboy (thought I'm only 5'10") for the extra room and it sits really great for the most part. For long distance I still add on my AirHawk. I had a Corbin once on a difference bike and though it was comfortable but I've heard a lot of issues about quality control...

    Front fender driving lights

I have these from TricLED. They are exactly as advertised, very bright, easy to mount. However... 1) they are too bright for normal use. The product comes with a dimmer. I rarely turn them more than 1/2 up. 2) They aren't really focused into a beam. They are great for letting other traffic...

    2014 RTS Trunk relocation

Ultimate seats make a rear seat back that is a bit thinner (1 inch?) than the standard. I bought the tallboy seat for myself, so I bought this seatback so my could recover some of the space I was taking from her. So far no issues, and you don't need the rest of the Ultimate seat for this to...

    OEM Adjustable Air Deflectors Installation

I have those air deflectors, and I have nothing between the screws and the deflectors. Mine are plenty tight.

    Cupholder

Look at the Ram Mounts Level Cup XL - big and can be adjusted to tall or short cups.

    Shifter question

Wow, I was really hoping for more of a “squirt some WD-40 here” kind of solution. I’m going to keep riding a bit trying to always leave myself a means of exiting without reverse in case it fails and take the bike to the shop soon. Yuk.

    Shifter question

My 2014 may be developing a new problem - the paddle shifter still shifts upwards with a slight touch, but suddenly I'm having to apply a fair amount of force to get it to downshift. The transmission is fine when it automatically downshifts so I believe the issue is purely with the...

the wire connects under the seat

All of the above is true but for my two cents - when I installed a new seat I forgot to reattach that connection, and I got nanny upset and she yelled at me via the dashboard light and an error code. I reconnected the wires and she calmed down.

    RT quit running

My RT left me stranded in Orlando, FL with that exact problem. There's no stranded like motorcycle stranded. I had to have it towed to a dealer for repair. Still waiting....

SENA Momentum INC (Intelligent Noise Control) helmet review, part 2

I couple of months ago I began a review of this hi-tech helmet, but couldn't get very far because it was so $%#%$ tight on my head. Here's the rest of the story. First, the technology is great. By nature it is a very quiet helmet, and with the INC function enabled road noise is reduced to a...

    Stranded in Orlando

I didn't remove the key, just waited several minutes, turned the key, hit the starter. The starter kicks in immediately rather than forcing the usual wait time.
