• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How straightforward is an ST's Coolant change?

Searched already Anyone know of a coolant change write up for a ST or is it pretty straight forward? I’ve read here not to try the drain plug because it can twist and break, disconnect the hose instead. Any other do’s and don’ts? Are there bleeders on the 998’s? Any fluid better than others...

    A Message for the Moderators

Wow, I should have started a thread like this but I would have been booted. Lol I can list several things that have changed here in 8-10 years and why I don’t come here much anymore, but powers that be wouldn’t like it. I use to have almost 50K post but deleted most due to overly sensitive...

What is the pull knob under the seat for? 2010 RS

I have an STS, but the knob unlocks the rear plate behind the seat. Small storage or you can attach the BRP optional backrest to it. I “assume” similar on an RS. :dontknow: .

BUDS Alternative - asking for your help to get a new tool????

Wasn’t looking to hack into it. My point being I haven’t needed it for 9 years now, but if I want to put the $500 into it in case I needed it in the future…it’s not worth having to pay $100 a year just to keep it “working”. If it will still works but won’t do future updates I’m good with that...

Time for another brake fluid flush

About to change my front pads and flush all the fluid today. Guessing about the 4th or 5th time I’ve done this in 9 years. Never an issue and no access to BUDS. .

BUDS Alternative - asking for your help to get a new tool????

If you are only using this BUDS on your own bike, do you need to buy a yearly license or is there a work around? .

Why are so many not using Daytime Driving Lights?

Guessing you work for the lighting industry who employed this? Why do you think this is so important during the day? Why can’t a person see a 6000 lb vehicle coming at them during the day unless their lights are on? I can’t stand daylight running lights anymore than I can stand doors locking...

    HowTo: Change Rear Tire

Good to see these how to threads still here. I need to do this again. This will be my second replacement tire. Factory tire lasted 6000 miles, my Ecsta lasted about 14,000 miles. Now putting another Ecsta on at 20,000 miles. Hard to believe the bike will be 10 years old next year. .

Little noise coming from the engine (?) around 3000~3500 rpm (but Spyder runs fine)

I hear like a radial light scraping noise. Is that what you mean?
