• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rider Magazine likes the Yamaha Niken

Same here I loved one of the comments, saying it looked like an alien dropped on the planet to eat other motorcycles. It is definitely an interesting development.

Rider Magazine likes the Yamaha Niken

Just received the latest issue yesterday, so only had time to skim the review, but they were very complimentary of it from a performance and handling standpoint. Here's the review online: 2019 Yamaha Niken - First Ride Review Expected retail price is around $16K.

Anyone have experience (good or bad) with Motonation gear?

They've got a new set of riding pants at a pretty good price point that look like they might work in the heat. Cappra Vented Textile Pant I'm thinking I might give them a try (only offered in black, sigh), but wondered if anyone had evaluated/tried any of their other gear and had any general...

    Which senna is the go

:agree: My wife and I have the Sena 20S, and it took me three tries on my helmet before I got it correct -- thankfully nailed it on the first try on hers!

Drive From East Coast to Alberta CA?

Have you been to Glacier National Park? If not, that's definitely worth seeing as you'll be more or less in the neighborhood west of Medicine Hat. Envy you the week in Banff -- now I've just got to get back there!

Do you mean FM radio? Which Sena do you have? If your objective is to pick up FM radio through the headset, the 20S has built-in FM stereo, no interface required.

    Flame War

Nothing but homemade This time of year, it's peach cobbler ice cream (Fredericksburg peaches and a bit... ok, a lot of cinnamon). Just made a batch last night. Other times, it's bananas foster ice cream -- bananas and... cinnamon. The rest of the year? Cinnamon! One of our biggest pre-Spyder...

My hay customer and I got scammed. Can anyone explain??

I think it did, but not in the way ruralgirl thought I think you're both wrong and right, Easy Rider -- my bet is that it did come from the hay buyer's failed message indeed, but the person being monitored was the hay buyer, not ruralgirl. My guess is that the creep/criminal is tapped into...

    Future Spyder Owner Inquiry

6 months ahead of you on the Spyder... ...but light-years behind you in terms of riding experience. I decided that I wanted to leave the major aspects of the bike alone for a few months while I gained some experience on the bike to the point where I felt I could even have an opinion about...

A Spyder-Inspired Meditation on Fathers and Sons

Yesterday was a good day. It's been a busy time with some challenges at work and at home; parents who need some extra attention, and grown children who... still need some extra attention. A former boss remarked on the latter phenomenon, saying, "The problems don't go away. They just get harder...

    Spyder insurance in California

USAA member, past or present? USAA outsources all of their motorcycle coverage to Progressive, so going direct to Progressive is probably the better approach, but if there are any issues with getting coverage at all (was really surprised to read about the issues others have had, going to have...

the growing rebelian agains the EU

I'm not Eastern European, but I played one on TV... ...more specifically, I lived there for a couple of years in the recent past, and I'd say you've got just about half of the story. No quibble with much of how you are characterizing the EU -- there is definitely a my way or the highway...

    BAJA RON shock adjusters

I apologize in advance for what is probably an idiotic question, but I definitely observe the above in my (suspension-wise) stock 2017 RT. So which would be more useful to install first, the anti-sway bar or the shock adjusters? Or do they only really make a difference in tandem?
