• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Do you carry a charger?

Mike -- has yours arrived yet? Mine arrived yesterday, and I'm happily surprised/impressed. Thankfully haven't had occasion to jump start anyone yet, but I've already used the air compressor to top off my tires and get them back to the proper pressure. We don't have a garage and space is at a...

    Do you carry a charger?

I sure appreciate the recommendations and thoughts of everyone on this topic. I'd been hemming and hawing -- or maybe hawing and hemming -- about what kind of emergency repair stuff I should be carrying, and about a week ago I picked up a deck screw in a tire and barely made it to a station with...

    What 's for Dinner?

Normally we do a standing rib roast with smashed taters, Yorkshire pudding, and a token vegetable, because, you know, eat healthy... However, we're traveling *on* Christmas Day so will instead be doing a beef tenderloin with some more prefab sides.

For the MBAs on the forum

Translated: "We got tired of hearing the dealer complaints about the display costs for the Ryker." No, I don't have any inside knowledge, but I always enjoy reading press releases that attempt to paper over something as basic as, "He lost the argument over our future direction."

    Which light/light strip to add?

+1 I have an RT and just added a series of LEDs to the front end from SpyderPops -- over ("Spyclops II") and under (lighted bumpskid) the frunk, and the mirror turn indicators. They meet your "functional and look cool also" criteria. Of the lot, I'd go with the bumpskid first, but the other two...

    "Rides" tally in the profile?

Apologies if this has already been asked and answered, but searching on "Rides" on a motorcycle website is like Googling for someone named "Smith." There's a "Rides: 0" in the "poster" summary for each post, and I was wondering what that was about? It's a clickable link, but to goes to a page...

Seeking Advice on a Headset for My Brother.....

Recommend you give Motorcycle Dave, one of the list sponsor/advertisers, a call. He specializes in SENA gear, and usually has a better price on anything you can think of. His number is at this link -- he will help your sort things out. http://www.motorcycledave.com/sena-headsets/ P.S. I sure...

    SENA 20s???

Speaking of the 20s, I've been getting a "Last Chance" ad for Can-Am gear on Facebook the past few days, and decided to click through to see if anything was at a price that would indicate they really were trying to unload it. Didn't find that price, but did see they had both the 2-packs and...

SO WHO'S GOING TO DO THANKSGIVING ON A SPYDER

Not rubbing it in, but we'll hit the 60s tomorrow and then 70s on Friday and Saturday, so I'll definitely be ryding -- as far away from any area shopping malls as possible!

What was wrong with the way it was?

Again, you can ignore the details Anthony provided, but the choice was essentially between continuing to have the forum or discontinuing it. The latter would seem to be trouble with no benefit, so I'm good with the change.

BRP Connect and Google Play....Need serious help!11

I pulled this caring response from someone on BRP's product marketing team to the litany of complaints about BRP Connect on the Google Play store: BRP Inc. Hi <INSERT NAME HERE>, we're sorry to hear this. Rest assured that we take your feedback seriously. Please reach out to us at...

    Spyders in the Hills 2019

Kerrville Hotels + Mary's Tacos I've heard similar advice on the YO Ranch from others; I stayed at the Hampton Inn right across the street on my first overnighter on the Spyder, and it was very pleasant -- the HI free breakfast is usually pretty good, and it was there. Problem with the free...

    Spyders in the Hills 2019

Just wanted to make sure of the complete date (and give you the chance to perhaps edit your original post so everyone sees it correctly) -- we're talking October 17-19, 2019, right? I'll definitely be there -- we had a very nice time last month.

Suggestions for WY/MT/Idaho good to ride region?

The key is to go early or go later -- in the middle of the summer, you're right. Insanely busy. We worked there for the season in 2015, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking to take a "gap year." What a great experience to have 5 months in such a beautiful place. But you're right...

Texas Spyders in the Hills rally Oct. 18-20, 2018

Had a great time We did indeed get a break. We rode over from Austin during the afternoon on Friday, and while we got drizzled on here and there, it wasn't too bad. Got there in time to have the SpyderPops team transform our ryde, and then the next day actually brought a couple of glimpses of...

In case there was any doubt... one more BajaRon testimonial

Had the SpyderPops team install the BajaRon Anti-Sway Bar on my 2017 RT this weekend, and like so many others, only wish I'd done it earlier. Except I don't, really. As a total novice to motorcycling, I needed the ryding time to get to a place where I could really feel the difference. The many...

    Bumpskid Question

+1 for the Spyderpops LED Bumpskid Got it installed this weekend and really like the look. As others have noted, the pictures don't show it accurately -- the LED lights are definitely white, not purple. Hat tip to the Spyderpops crew -- they did a great job on my first wave of serious farkles!

Ryker Demo Rides at Spyders in the Hills Rally

Enjoyed my test ride Among the many fun things at the Spyders in the Hills rally was the chance to test the Ryker. I can see why folks are getting excited. First off, appreciation to the Can-Am team for a really extensive test ride -- 25 minutes on some fun roads, including a couple of chances...
