• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    drive belt now centerd

I have had my belt "centered" for some time just like yours. Since I have moved it into that position, I have experienced very little rumbling in that 70-74mph range. In fact, when the dealer changed out my tire earlier this spring, I told the service manager to adjust the tension, but leave...

    Laser Alignment at Caswell's Cycle

+1 Caswell's service is outstanding. I bought my Spyder at Caswell's and had it laser aligned there about a month after my purchase. There are three other Spyder dealers closer to me than Caswells. I still take it to Caswell's for service. They really know Spyders and they sell a lot of...

    Belt tracking

That belt looks pretty close to mine. Your belt is within factory specs. Since I adjusted my belt so that it rides in the center of the sprocket, similar to yours, I have had very little of the belt vibration/rumble when I ride around 74mph. In fact, when I recently had the tire changed by...

Lifting a Spyder with EZCarLift and Can-Am adapter

I am going to be testing the prototype of the Spyder lift adapter next week for the EZCarLift. I thought I post the link to some pics to see what you guys and gals think so far. I think Boytcho (owner and engineer) has also thought up an oil change kit to work with the lift. I have used the...

    Moon Motorsports Monticello MN

I just noticed today while checking Moon Motorsports's hours today on their website, that they are now a Spyder dealer. Has anyone been out to Moon lately? I was wondering how extensive their Spyder line up is? I have been using Moon for my honda stuff for over 25 years. They have always...

    St. Boni Motorsports service?????

I was wondering if the service department is worth using at St Boni Motorsports? I have been using Caswell's, but it is a lot further to drive for me than going to St Boni. It is only the long drive that has me looking to St Boni. Caswell's service has been great. Looking for any comments...

    Frunk removal question

I noticed that an air duct needs to be disconnected during the removal process for the frunk. Does this rubber air duct just pull off from from the plastic duct work mounted on the frunk? Or is there a clamp that needs to be disconnected. How difficult is it to get the air duct back...

    My Barn Find......

I owned a 1989 PC. Drove it for many years. A really great, trouble free bike that was way ahead of its time. Fantastic find! Gunner

    South Dakota Hwy 44

The wife and I are going to head west this summer to the Black Hills from Minnesota. Has anyone traversed South Dakota via Hwy 44? I would rather not travel I-90, but rather follow the "road less traveled." Any input would be appreciated. Gunner

    Help with new RT

+1 on the laser alignment. It made a huge difference in the handling for me. I spent 41 years riding two wheels. I don't think I would ever go back to two wheels for touring. Be patient, relax, get the alignment, and enjoy! Gunner

Blackstone report on 2nd Oil Change

I am pretty happy about that...I was expecting it to be lower. The minimum cSt 100 for a 40 weight is 12.5, so the 12.32 is awfully close. I have been using Amsoil in my bikes for many many years. I see no reason to switch away from Amsoil for the Spyder at this point.

Blackstone report on 2nd Oil Change

This report is the result of using Amsoil 10w40 and the BajaRon oil filter for 4,194 miles. The calcium is still very high after 4200 miles. I am very pleased with the Amsoil. When I changed oil this time, I used a BRP oil filter. I am going to get a report on the next oil change and see if...

    1330 Oil Blend

I have searched a number of posts regarding the Spyder being hard on the oil, even Amsoil. I was wondering if anyone has tried mixing 4 qts of 10W40 with 1 qt of 20W50 Amsoil to try to keep the oil in grade longer? I am planning on getting a Blackstone report on Amsoil 10W40 used for about...

2015 RT LTD SE6 Noise Question For You

Yes, that howl, whirl, jet engine sound...however you describe it, is normal. I just ignore it. It is definitely more pronounced if you listen for it. I have worn earplugs for decades because of the wind noise when I ride. They also make the radio sound better, eliminate some of those small...

    Fuse block installation.

The pos and neg from the battery come into the top of the fuze block. Also, the trigger for the switched terminals comes in with those wires. If you had it in your hand, you would see how it all works and it would make sense. I affixed mine to the Valkyrie's tool storage area behind the...

    Fuse block installation.

This is what I used on my Valkyrie Interstate: http://www.fuzeblocks.com/ What I like about it was that it contained terminals that were only hot when the ignition was on and terminals that were hot all of the time. A little spendy but, as usual, you get what you pay for. Worked great for...
