• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Very Cool with LaMonster Pipe

LOL...I am a retired LEO (33 yrs). I was one of the very few that has had only one wife. Most had multiple wives and it was easier to refer to them by number. One guy was married seven times to six different women. One of those didn't learn her lesson the first time and remarried him...only...

    Sheepskin overlay on Seat

My wife uses an Alaskan Leather sheepskin cover on her passenger seat. I actually ordered the cover for her when we had our Valkyrie Interstate. The passenger sheepskin for the Valkyrie fits the passenger seat on my 15 RT perfectly. She is very happy with the cover and can ride much longer...

    Very Cool with LaMonster Pipe

I have been wanting to try the performance pipe for a while to try to reduce the heat radiating up from the primary muffler/cat. The heat was so bad on my 15 RT, the emissions sticker began to peel up off the top frame rail. My trouble was that I did not want a lot of extra noise. When I saw...

    Front tire cupping

My 2015 RT had the same problem with cupping. I rebalanced the tires a couple of times and had the laser alignment done when I first bought the bike. I cured the cupping with Federal Formoza AZ01 tires. No looking back. Gunner

    Park Brake Motor

As I posted in a different thread, the parking brake on my '15 RT would not hold. The dealer said it was a known issue and the fix was to replace the parking brake motor. Gunner

Another Federal Formoza AZ01 Convert 165/55r15

Picked up a set off of Ebay for $107.00 shipped. I took them to a mom and pop tire shop to swap them out and they charged me a total of $16.00 for mounting and disposal. I balanced them myself. All I can say is wow! I put about 70 miles on them tonight, some of which was going through my...

    Changing front shocks

When I put on the Baja Ron shock adjusters, I used extra long needle nose pliers to take the top bolt out and put the bolt back in. After getting the nut off the bolt, I got the bolt out far enough, using the pliers to hold it, to remove the shock, then brought the bolt away from the mount...

SE6: What's that subtle ringing "tinging" sound while driving?

All kidding aside, normal. I think I even recall Shawn Smoak from Pro Caliber addressing this noise as normal. Gunner

    Brake Bleeding

After two years of riding, I had a spongy brake pedal this spring. Knowing how touchy the Spyder is with the brake system and the need to bleed the ABS system, I just had Caswell's in Mora, MN do the bleed when they did the 9300 mile checkup (13000 miles). Got the bike back with a nice firm...

    Any 2018 Rumors yet?

All of the above suggestions are great, but I have always wondered why, if buying the top of the line RT Ltd, the tri-axis handle bars are not standard from the factory? I think they should be on future models. How much actual cost would they add to the bike if added at the factory? Gunner

    Amsoil 0W40 Powersports Oil

Reply from Amsoil: The AMSOIL 10W40 is the top of the line option for your Can Am. The additive package is built for a longer interval of 2x the manufacture original interval, or 1 year whichever comes first. The only viscosity grade difference is he winter grade(represents the products...

    Amsoil 0W40 Powersports Oil

I was wondering if anyone is using Amsoil 0W40 powersports oil for their 1330 engine? If the BRP full synthetic oil is 0W40, I am curious as to why Amsoil recommends 10W40 motorcycle oil and not the 0W40? Gunner

    Shout out to dealer

I think a lot of us in MN feel the same way about Caswell's in Mora. It seems like everyone leaves happy after using their service department.

    Caswell Cycle service

Once again, another great service experience at Caswell's. You just can't beat Les and his guys in the service department. Well worth the drive each and every time! Gunner

    Moon Motorsports Service

I've got the brake cable released to the point where the parking brake is no longer engaged, I have the micro switch for the parking brake indicator zip-tied so I don't listen to it beep for 65 miles and I will be on my way to Caswells in the morning. I am glad I was at home when this all...

    Moon Motorsports Service

I was wondering if anyone has used Moon Motorsports in Monticello, MN for any service work on their Spyder? They are a relatively new dealership for Spyders, but have been in busy for decades with other motorcycle brands. I am having an issue with my RT and I am unsure want to take a much...

    Switch Removal

Looking for info on how to pop out the parking brake switch on my 2015 RT. Wondering if the switch is pried out from the top or released somehow from underneath the panel? Gunner
